Remote sensor needs batteries every 2-4 weeks
The main unit is great. The back light is too bright on all settings except dim red, where it is great. I like the bright projection display. My only complaint, and it is a deal breaker, is that the remote sensor needs batteries replaced every 3-4 weeks. I received the clock on March 16, 2019. The first battery replacement was on April 16. The next replacement was on May 3. I am using name brand alkaline batteries. My older projection clock's outdoor remote sensor can go over a year on a pair of batteries. Replacing batteries every 3-4 weeks is unacceptable, especially in the winter. It also cost a lot for batteries. I am beyond the Amazon return period, and the vendor Orhome does not appear to have a web site. There is a possibility that my remote sensor is bad. I sent an email to Orhome via Amazon, so we will see if there is a resolution. As the remote temperature is a necessary feature for me, I do not recommend this product. Nor do I recommend any of the other projection clocks that appear to be the same product under a different name.If I can get a working remote sensor, I will update my review. Until then, DO NOT BUY.Update 26 May: Orhome replied to my email and sent me a new sensor. Orhome has been very responsive. I received the new remote sensor. By the time the sensor arrived from China, I had gone through another set of batteries. To get the clock to sync with the new sensor, I had to power the clock completely off. Everything is back up and synced. Now I will see if the batteries last for more than 2 weeks. Orhome told me that batteries should last 6 - 12 months. I really like the clock and I am hoping the new sensor does not eat batteries.

Needs improvements
I bought this clock cause I used to have another one with a laser projector and the projector broke. As soon as I unpacked it and set it up I noticed two design flaws that really bothered me (in comparison to the previous clock I owned)The projector is reversed. That means if you want to read the time at the ceiling of your bedroom, the clock screen has to face the back wall of the room. That means you won't be able to read the clock screen with the projector on, unless you place the clock away from the back wall (where the bed headrest is) So If you are used to a different projection clock, make sure you are aware of this orientation.Second problem I noticed is that the laser is super bright. So bright that even the supposedly "black" area round the time digits is tinted red. Maybe it won't bother most people if there is a bright red glow on the ceiling while they sleep, but personally I was used to a far dimmer projection which didn't shine through my closed eyelids! I had to prop some sunglasses in front of the projector to reduce it's brightness. I shouldn't have to though.Other than those two major flaws, the clock screen is big and very readable from distance, the outside temperature and weather is a really nice feature. So all and all I have mixed feelings about this clock. If you don't care about the two flaws I mentioned, then it is the right choice for you. But if you do care, I hope this review will at least help you make a better decision to purchase or not.

Concerns with manufacuring quality
I originally bought this last month. It was delivered promptly and I set it up. After a couple of weeks or so, the outdoor temperature quit displaying. I contacted Amazon and after about half an hour of questions and research, the Amazon representative asked if they could send a replacement clock. I received the replacement clock yesterday and set it up (not hard with the supplied instruction booklet). Using it last night, there was an obvious defect with the red numbers projected on the wall, with several of the LED segments being so dim that they were effectively not on at all.So this morning, I took part of the new clock (the outdoor sensor module and the power supply/plug) , part of the old clock (the main clock with the projector) and put them together to get a working clock. I packed up the rest of the components and returned them to Amazon. Currently, the clock is working fine.I am giving this three stars because I have a working clock now and because Amazon was quick and responsive to my inquiry, but also because having received two clock that had defects, I have doubts about the manufacturing quality or quality control of this item.Update 6/11/19: The outdoor temperature sensor module that Amazon sent to replace the original defective module has also quit working, so I dropped my rating from three stars to two stars. The reason that I didn't drop to one star is because somehow the clock is picking up the outdoor temperature from another sensor, apparently a La Crosse Technology thermometer that I also have mounted outside. Go figure. Anyway, I am still getting the outside temps, at least intermittently. And so the saga continues.

A nice addition to the kids room!
This is the first purchase of a Projection clock for the Kids Room. Kids are excited about the Projection capabilities of the Clock. This is is easy for the kids to check the time straight on the front wall or ceiling without changing their sleeping position.Features which are very good are:- The Projection display can be swiveled 180 degrees based on their comfortness which includes the Current time including the Inside and Outside Temperature. The Projection is bright that it can be read when the room lights are also ON.- The Clock has 8 different backlit colors based on the mood.- The Weather Forecast along with Indoor and Outdoor Temperature is useful so that the kids can dress up accordingly.- USB Charging Port is very useful to charge their phone without the need for another power outlet. This is a plus point. Supports Battery Power or USB power to keep the clock working.- Support of 2 different Alarms is very useful for weekday and weekends without the need to change. Very useful.A speaker along with Line IN support would have been a nice addition.Good bang for the buck and Kids are happy !!
