Used to successfully remove unwanted skin tag
I used TCA for removing a skin tag. The process took a few weeks. There was a very brief moment of slight burning each time it was applied. It is very potent; the skin around the area does need to be protected with vaseline before applying the TCA. I found the pointed end of a manicure stick to work best for me when applying the acid. It did take about 15 minutes or so for the acid to completely dry. After about 5 minutes, I simply covered the treated area with a bandaid (LOOSLY APPLIED), and left in place for about an hour to ensure clothing and untreated skin weren't affected by the drying acid. The outmost skin hardened until it would crust over, then shed within a few days. This continued several times, until there was nothing left of the skin tag. There is some hyperpigmintation (discolotation), but I expect it to fade with time.
