ARE U KIDDING ME? WHAT A PRODUCT!
What a Product! I've tried em all. You name it,... asphalt based sealants, neoprene, tar, various silicone, various water based sealers,... 10,20 50 year,... and they usually lasted for a few years at best. Sealers can be good if they're carefully matched to specific conditions they're designed to handle. But after a year or two of freeze /thaw, or hot summer heat, they all failed in roof top, sun /cold /asphalt /metal /wet situations, cement cracks or cement surface situations. They dried out, cracked, didn't seal very long, made the situations worse! Except Geocel.Clear Geocel does go on clear, but will turn dark after a few years. Not sure if it's a reaction to natural sunlight, or collecting dirt in the air on it's soft surface, or just exposure to air & curing, etc, but it will turn dark almost black. So if you put it on a top surface you have to ignore the nice clear initial sheen and imagine what your repair will look like when it's black. This product is very sticky and difficult to spread & store after partial usage. I've learned the hard way to take that into account when planning project. Any tool it touches, clothing, shoes, etc it will NOT come off. It does not store well. I've tried using it in caulk gun tube sizes but even when completely & carefully resealing the tube snout it only lasted a few months at best. Get thick then cures solid. So have enough uses to use up all the sealant in the can or else it will get thick and begin to cure & be a waste of money,..if saving money is a concern. This metal can seems to store better than tube & for larger projects I chose the quart size. Price wise about a 30% saving doing this with careful buying vs Geocel in a tube.Yes it is sort of brush-able, BUT it's like trying to "brush" sticky cold honey. So I put the can in the sunshine a few hours or warm it overnight inside in a safe, warm area not on top of the furnace! but in a warm part of the house or shop. Whatever it touches will be destroyed so I use cheap paint brushes, cut the bristles half-length to make it stiffer & works great. A simple flat paint stick also works great for most things.I've found it's easier to use this product using the quart size cans. Generally I can carefully pour directly from the can onto whatever I want to waterproof & brush if needed. Easier to reseal a metal quart can vs a gallon can that has lot more air inside & potential for product waste /premature curing in the gallon size can. It's a little confusing the diff varieties of this product. I've used it for about 8 yrs from a tube,.. usually the clear which turns black within a year or two. I've tried grey which is not colored very strongly & the grey colored product just did not seem to work /seal /adhere as well as the clear. So I stopped using the colored versions... but that's just me & no scientific testing on that,... just my opinion & real world observations. If I need a colored caulk to match & fill in gaps there's a bunch of other tube products that are great and much easier to apply & clean up afterwards. Most applications where color is a factor are lighter duty applications anyway where less expensive alternatives to Geocel are your best bet. Pro Flex Geocel has NO fibers while this Geocel Instant roof repair does have fibers for extra toughness & extra UV protection. I've used both & prefer the Geocel with fibers. The both turn darn with age. There are some variations of this sealant. This Geocel25200 quart size can (& gallon size) is fiber reinforced for toughest situations that need to stand up to sun, rain, foot traffic, etc where other lesser products can't hack it. The NON-fiber version comes in cans & tubes of diff colors. I only use the Clear. Clear becomes black anyway after a year or two.For years now I've used Geocel Clear for years because I got sick of resealing cracks that kept drying out, breaking open & leaking. But it took me a while to get there & realize I needed to do something different. Putting the same failed products into the same leaky cracks,... dumb dumb dumb but finally got the message! If you buy a cheap fix it will leak again & again. If you buy an expensive fix, sometime it will STILL LEAK! Like throwing money down a rat hole. It's true you can clean & prep the surface all you want to but if you're using a cheap or expensive inferior product the repair is still going to dry out & crack & leak! That;s what I learned the hard way.But if I take time to clean & prep the surface as much as possible, this Geocel actually rewards me with a longer term superior seal that doesn't dry out & crack like all the other 99% super great products I've been using over the years. Even situations where I knew I didn't prep well or couldn't prep well Geocel has picked me up & still did a better job than all those other sealants. That's really the bottom line. This Geocel 25200 I'm using this to seal both shallow & deep cracks in my cement drive way. The 1nch fiber board filler strips in the expansion joints when the cement was orig poured has rotted away leaving deep cracks for water & tree roots to enter,... & long, shallower hair-line cracks are also growing. Brushing this Geocel works great for waterproofing all the small, narrow hair-line type cracks. Directly pouring from the can works for the wide, deeper cracks. For pep I hose off all surfaces and wait two days to be sure it's clean & dry. Yes I can apply Geo to a wet surface, but dry is best,... Geocel tends lump up or roll up on itself & doesn't spread /adhere best on wet surfaces. But gravity will help it stay in place on a wet surface & chemical reaction during curing make the seal work,... but if poss I always prefer applying to a dry surface for max success. The fibers in this version are smooth & do not stick out at all. So no worries. Its a tougher product plus the strong UV protection which is why I chose this version of Geocel. The tube non fiber version of Geocel is also clear, but seems a little thicker & does not self level quite as well as this quart size, fiber version.TIP: for the deepest joint cracks in my cement driveway,... 1in wide & 2-3inches deep, simply pouring in gobs of sealant makes it too thick to cure properly,... plus it would cost a fortune to fill those large areas. So I used brown craft paper used for protecting stuff for shipping boxes,... cut into long strips about 5 in wide, then twisted into a rope-like filler... shoved the twisted paper rope into the wide cracks to take up space & shallow the cracks to about a 1in depth,... while helping to seal the bottom /sides of the cracks too,... then poured the Geocel 25200 on top in several thinner layers allowing 5-6 days minimum curing time between layers. Building up in multiple lays gave a nice, smooth finish, control over any issues, plus great leveling & fill adjustment right up to the top surface if you want that so water & dirt flow over the joint & not into the joint at all. Sweet!Am still trying to find something negative to report. Will update if that ever happens. Have been using Geocel for years. For example, used it to buck up crumbling cement porch 5 inch thick edges that were softening due to age & constant water exposure. This stuff acted like a polymer patch and stopped the water chemical reaction /wash out of the cement, firmed up the soft concrete & arrested further deterioration for years now until I finally decide about replacing the entire porch cement slab (expensive). So in that situation, this Geocel is actually a money saver & great, temp repair putting off an expensive cement slab replacement.BOTTOM LINE: Easily EARNS 5-STARS! I've ordered from Hardware World 3 diff time a total of about 16 quart cans. Every order was shipped quickly with no hassles, no tax, & automatic tracking. I like that. Will buy again. Wish I could find discount coupons!!

Worked great and good aesthetics
I had a very troublesome leak and had a very hard time finding the cause. I have architectural shingles about 1/2 way through the 30 yr life. Once the leak was showing realized it had been leaking a long time but finally came through the attic insulation. Outside looked perfect no obvious defect. It was on the front side of my home and I didn't want a black tar spot. This worked great and sets nearly clear so not an eyesore.

Good product; wrong description
I bought this product because the Amazon product description said it could be used on EPDM. That is not correct. The product can specifically says to NOT use it on EPDM, buy another product instead. (The can tells you what to buy.) The screws on my metal roof have EPDM seals; I wanted to cover them with Geocell 25200. I already have other roof coatings that also liquefy EPDM. Good product; wrong description.

Very tough leak became very easy to fix!
I had a leak I couldn't pin point last summer and this stuff did the trick when I painted this stuff everywhere the leak might be coming from.

It works
I did some research on sealant prducts for my roof and more specifically, the flashing around the exhaust areas up there. I even looked into that can of Flex-Seal or whatever it's called on TV, this thing got terrible reviews from thousands of people so I looked elsewhere. I stumbled upon this Geocel roof repair and I'm glad that I did. This stuff is the real deal, the can is pretty small but I had half of it left over after sealing up 5 exhaust areas on the roof thoroughly. I let the first coat cure for a day, then went back up and used the rest for a 2nd coat. It's really thick, but easily spread with a paintbrush. Looks like a cloudy white color as you're putting it on, but it settles to clear pretty fast. I would recommend it to anyone.I'm waiting for several days of thunderstorms to roll in so that I can go check in the attic for dripping, but I seriously doubt there will be. If so, I will come back to this review and edit my new information found.

Great product.. Roof Honey.
GREAT PRODUCT. We used this on an OLD roof and I was hopeful that it would do the trick.. IT DID. It is about the consistency of Honey. It goes on slow and thick. It did solve the problem for us and we hope to get one more year from our Old roof. I can now think of many other uses, but hope we do not need to purchase this again... but I bet we will.

This stuff is the best!
This product instantly stopped the leaks in our porch. Each seam in our flat metal porch roof leaked all over the porch. I applied one coat to each seam as well as the perimeter and it stopped every leak. I found that a foam brush was the best way to apply the sealant.Just for reference, this can covered about 6-7 seams and the perimeter of a 20x6 porch. I didn't use it sparingly

Finaly a product that lasts in the Florida Sun.
I had that flex-seal rubber crap before. And the Florida Sun ate it up in no time. But with this, is sticks and does not peel of or degenerates.Love it!
