Netis WF2405 Wireless N150 Pocket Size Traveler AP Router / Repeater/ Client All in One, USB Powered, Adapter Included

This device is so tiny, about the size of 5 AA batteries. It even comes with a cloth pouch for travel. Setup may not be the easiest thing on the planet, but I had it working in client mode in a few minutes. Using as a router looks to be a little more in depth. But using it as a client I received a great connection to my router at it's top n150 speed. I even tested the power use using one of those battery backups for your smartphones and got over 3 hours before I had to turn it off and head for work. Then I did something stupid. I went to the Netis website and tried to update the firmware. Big mistake as now it won't work in either client or router mode. I called tech support and got ahold of a live person fairly quickly, but she couldn't help me and literally told me she would have a real tech support person call me. I'm still waiting for that call. In the meantime I sent a tech support email and still have yet to hear back. So for a recap, 5 stars for the device, 1 star for tech support

It works about as well as it can considering the cheap price.

I purchased this item to make my directv hd receiver available to my wireless network. It's pretty easy to set up and the included instructions were helpful. Thankfully it can be fully powered via USB, so the included wall adapter wasn't needed - fewer wires, more available power outlets...yay! However, the included network cable didn't work properly: it's a flat cable. There's a good reason for twisting the wires within a network cable Netis!! Once I put a proper cable in place, I haven't had any issues. So, minus 1 star for making me build a small network cable of my own.

The purpose of this review is to state my unsatisfactory experience with Netis Systems customer/tech support, which relates to all Netis products.I purchased a Netis Systems WF-2109 wireless network USB adaptor at a Microcenter store. I tried four times to load the drivers from the CD to my desktop computer AND laptop computer. After going through the whole process, including the computer reboot, the drivers still didn't load to either my desktop computer or my laptop.I called their customer service number listed on their website (626) 810-5866 and could only reach a recorded message asking me to leave a voicemail. No call back after 2 hours. When I called back I spoke to Maria who gave me a second phone number to call for technical support (866) 716-3896. Again I receive a recorded message.When I tried calling back, again I received a recorded message at the technical support option. Then I tried other options such as Sales, which also had a recorded message. After many tries I finally reached a person who stated his name was John. I believe he told me a false name because he was abrasive, and hesitant to give his name. This person made no effort whatsoever to troubleshoot the problem, and simply told me that my computer wasn't compatible. I asked how he knew that because if the drivers do not load, then you cannot attempt to use the product to see if it works (i.e. compatible). He refused to acknowledge the logic, and hung up on me. I called back Maria who promised a manager would call me. I promised to hold my breath till I received a call back.No call back was ever received.Maybe this product works for some, but if it doesn't work then you are likely out of luck because this company has deficient or non-existant technical support. I note one reviewer (of WF-2109 wireless adaptor)stated he worked with tech support for days to get the product to work. Who wants to do that? NOT ME!!

Simple straightforward and works.

This is a good little puppy wit me fro travelling. Nice strong signal and good enough. I travel to Mexico last month and hotel wifi is not really strong enough for my iphone. I use this little router as repeater and it works great.

It looks pretty simple and small, which just fit in my kitchen back door. I made it work right way and it is working fine so far!
