Grigory Rasputin (A Wicked History) Paperback – March 1, 2008

I love this series for young kids. It really brings to life some of histories most notorious individuals. They are perfect for upper elementary and middle school kids, as it can introduce them to the historical figures without having to get too in depth to discourage them from reading. I have to admit; I enjoy the pictures a great deal as well. This one on Rasputin really intrigued me, as Rasputin has always been an interesting subject. His death alone is a fascinating tale, and his life before the Romanovs was pretty intriguing as well. The language and subject matter in this one wasn't too graphic for younger kids.

My father read several books from this series and loved them. They are straightforward histories for those who do not want to write a thesis on the subject. His only complaint was that there were not more of them.

The combination of prayer, women, sex, murder, absolute ruler, war, bleeding disorder, revolt, Lenin the Marxist, popular longing for hyperbisexual writers of mass gender bender freedom mass psychology ditch God glass eye cops and cobbers who would rather be pimps cup overflowing brings us up to date.

Book in good condition.

This is a good book that describes the positive and negative sides of Rasputin. Anyone who is interested in Rasputin should read this no matter if you think he was good or bad. This is one of the best books in the wicked history series.

As a non english I like these books. I can work on my reading skills and at the same time learn about an interesting person. I think the wiked history series are made spescially for foreigners who are learning english. For an englishman theese books probarbly are to simple. Anyway, Rasputin is a facinating carracter: Almost like some kind of a wizard. He could heal sickness and forsee the future. At the same time he gained influence over the Tsar and Tsarina.
