This set of hoops arrived covered in stinky mold. I sprayed them with peroxide and let them dry which fixed the mold problem, but it was still really gross. The metal screw at the top that allows you to tighten the hoop is really hard to move and there appears to be some weird sticky residue in the threading. I got blisters trying to tighten the 6 inch hoop. The metal at the top of the hoop also comes covered in blue plastic that you can't entirely peel off and it looks really ugly. I like to display my embroidery in the hoop sometimes and I don't want ugly blue plastic showing. Other than those things I guess they work fine for embroidery and they are cheap, but I wouldn't recommend this brand to anyone. It shouldn't be this hard to make a set of embroidery hoops, y'all need to get your act together.

I purchased this to use for counted cross stitch on aida cloth. The metal screw tighteners are very flimsy and you can't get it tight enough to get your fabric taut because the metal parts just bend. Also, the wood is not smooth and is actually splintered in places. These might be okay for embroidery on a light fabric, but for counted cross stitch, it doesn't work. Don't recommend. Spend a little more and get better quality hoops.

like the product, but the smell, o my the smell is terrible need to do something about the smell i know wood has a slight odor, besides that its sturdy and will get the job done

The hoops are very nice, but for arthritic hands the knobs are a bit small. I’m using them and enjoying them. Hard to use for my hands but doable. Good value. Totally recommend them for younger people

I’m using these as a decor item, so can’t speak to sturdiness of actual use. They look great and were all in great shape when they arrived.

The Hoops are not as shown in photo. They are wrapped. Will not close flush to the fabric.

The large ones are easy to break. I already broke the large one. Did not as terrible as I expected them to be. They are still good for the price.

I recently purchased several thread work projects, but couldn't find my hoops. So, these new hoops are easy to work with, and I really like the slightly rounded edge on the outside ring. Bamboo is durable, and I look forward to many years of using these.
