Bunion Bootie (Original Splint for Bunions Relief, Ultra-Thin Bunion Corrector for Hallux Valgus- Right Foot, Medium

When I went to order a size small, It says to order a largersize if you have a wider foot.Since I have wide feet, I ordered size medium insteadof a size small. When I tried them on, they were too looseand too long for my short, small feet. I should have stayedwith my order of size small.Shortly afterwards, they came out with a size extra smallwhich would have been probably been the right size sincethey need to fit snugly.They are $ 35 each and I think its too much money.The material is durable, sturdy and lightweight My bunion isn't that big and just starting to enlargen.They would have to fit very tight in orderto push the bunion back, but they can't fit that tight or itwill result in harming your circulation. BB is very good about returningyour money to your credit card.I would like to know if this product works for people or not.I'm using another product that I got a Walmart but alreadyit seems to have become too loose.

I have mild to moderate bunions on both feet. At first, I did think these booties may have helped a bit. However, I've been wearing them everyday for about a month or so (washing them of course), and the tension on my big toe loosened up and it is not being pulled back into position as well as it was during the first week of wear. So I cut the back seam, removed about an inch of material and sewed it back together. So far this is helping a little, but I'm shopping around for a product that will work better for me. I'm not expecting a cure - I'm really just looking for something that will prevent the bunions from getting any worse. I'm giving them two stars because they did realign my big toe at first and they are so comfortable that I can wear them in my shoes all day. These would be perfect for me if they were made from a stronger material and could provide lasting tension that continued to keep my big toes realigned. Unfortunately they do not, so for me these booties are not worth $36 each. I did purchase two of them (left and right foot), but no, I would not buy them again.

It does a pretty good job of helping to control pain. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the medium is to big. I think if it was a bit smaller it would help with the pain better, plus it slips down the back of my foot and I have to adjust it more often than I would like to . I'm thinking about getting the smaller size to see if it does work better for me.

I am 8 weeks post op from bunion and hammer toe surgery. My doctor has asked me to wear a silicone piece between my big toe and second toe during they day (kind like a retainer after braces) but at night I needed something to keep the toes apart that would't fall out while I sleep. The Bunion Bootie is the most comfortable thing I have tried. I do have 2 sizes and I sleep with the larger one because my foot is still a bit swollen. I am keeping the medium for times the swelling is less. My only negative is that the large one I bought does not have a hole in the toe so I just created one and it's perfect.

For me personally, I think my bunion is a bit too severe for this bootie to be helpful. However I can tell that if I had this bunion bootie five years ago or more it probably would have given me relief. So if anyone out there has the beginnings of a bunion get it now, don't wait. It is very light weight and easy to get on. Not sure if the three star rating is fair but too bad for me it didn't quite work out but I did tell my sister she should try one now because her bunion is starting.

I liked the bunion bootie but it was a bit large for my foot. I wear a size 7 1/2 shoe and ordered a medium bootie per the sizing chart. I have returned it and requested an exchange for a size small. I hope it will come soon!

Love this product! Comfortable and fits well under socks and in shoes. Don't try and wear it all day at first. Give yourself some time for your foot to adjust. I found starting at 4 hours a day was almost too much. After awhile you won't even notice you're wearing it. Material is thin but that's a plus as it doesn't bulk up under your socks. I've tried all sorts of products including using ones made of hard plastic and this product works just as well and is much more comfortable to wear.

Been using it for about a week now. I was pleased when I first put it on and felt how comfortable it was. You can hardly tell that you're wearing it. You also can feel immediate relief from the pressure of the bunion pushing the other toes. Time will tell for long term effectiveness but so far so great.
