Rothco G.I. Type D-Cell Flashlight (Black)

bought this purely for the nostalgia value, i miss the way flashlights used to be warm and soft before bright aah leds took over, it emits enough light to comfortably see by in an average size room of an average household. the little color filters work better with this light than they do with more modern leds.

Very functional. Slightly smaller than the vintage one I already owned from the military, but all of the parts transferred over to my vintage one, which is what I wanted in the first place.

Got this for my 11 year old son who is going to Boy Scout camp for the first time. It’s basically the same flashlight I had when I was a scout. The only thing is that it is advertised as an LED but it is not. It is a regular old school lightbulb.

Great imitation of the orignal Fulton design. Blindfolded I probably couldnt tell the differance between these and what I was issued in the Marines. Otherwise a great light for camping espeically due to it's design. Doesnt roll off surfaces, can be stood up to cast light on a subject, can be hung form a hook on the bottom, can be clipped forward facing off of ones person or gear, comes with different lenses, cheaply powered with two D batteries and finally exteemely affordable. Recommended for kids and camping when alien spaceship level of light isnt necessary.

The media could not be loaded. I have never given a bad review, but here’s the first ever. Was super excited when this came in. But was disappointed severely!!! If I could give it negative stars I would. I understand every product has a dud, but I haven’t had one of these since I was a kid playing with my dads when he came home from the Marines. I played with that thing until it finally just gave out. This one doesn’t work. The switch and connectors are loose. When switch is completely on, the light doesn’t come on unless you push the strobe button. Super disappointed!!!

Lightweight and somewhat flimsy version of the type I used in my military days.

Carried one 30 years ago. Basic issue. Quality, great product !!
