Perfect for my arthritic neck.
I love it. It is real leather. Very soft on the chinrest, perfect height for the shoulder rest. Would be great for someone with arthritis or neck and shoulder problems. That's why I bought 2.WARNING!!!!!Newbies write reviews, I've been at this for years. It simply slips on the chinrest. The guy that broke his chinrest shouldn't be playing violin, raising children, or writing reviews.DO NOT leave it on your violin in the case. I do not play beginner instruments and you will do irreparable damage to your violin. The lid setting on the elevated instrument will cause the bridge to warp, the sound post to loosen and the bass bar to separate, all of which will cause cracks in the seems and the top plate.If a person is so lazy that tuning a new instrument, or removing a shoulder rest when the violin is in the case is an issue, just give your violin away now and save yourself the frustrations of not being able to learn. You won't be able to handle the hours of practice it takes each day to master the instrument.

Comfort, but not lasting.
Bought this for my kid more than one years ago. Very comfort as he said because it's much softer than regular. His violin teacher and the guys at my local violin shop were surprised to see this, and they liked it.The problem is after 1 year's use, the shoulder rest became much thinner because of the padding inside had been squeezed too much. My kid would no longer use it.

A class act...
Beautifully made. I am tweaking it to use as a shoulder pad for playing bagpipes— to avoid slippage of the drones.. comfortable, and as you can see, good for more than violin!👍

Adaptación
Lo compré para adaptarlo a mi viola, por eso tuve que quitar la parte que cubre la mentonera. Por lo demás me gustó mucho. Deberían hacer un producto sin el recubrimiento de la mentonera para que pueda usarse en violines y violas.
