Good little taps, right on size.
The media could not be loaded. These taps came nicely greased up in paper. They were also inside a plastic case which was sealed inside a bag. No rust, just a basic plug and starting tap. I did a test fit and they seem to be right on, haven’t cut anything yet, but I’m sure they will do at least a handful of decent cuts through mild steel. Hard to beat 14 bucks for such a odd fine thread.

Not as pictured but did the job
Mine were clearly stamped and of the correct diameter and thread pitch, but upon opening them I was like, oh man, here we go, just wasted my money. Cheap old school Chinese craftmanship is the best way i can say it. Appear to be nothing more than carbon steel, but are hard as coffin nails and apparently fairly tough, as I had no problem tapping a few holes in 1/2" mild steel plate even using a slightly undersized pilot hole (9/32"), and the resultant threads fitted to the threaded studs well.

Poor service -- wrong item, which they insist is the right item.
Supplier sent the wrong size -- M8x1.0, not M8x.75. The lettering on the shaft was different from the picture. Simply M8 with a stylized flower engraved on the shaft, not "M8x0.75 H2" as depicted.Tap pitch is not mysterious, or a matter of opinion. The tap they sent definitely measured M8x1.0. And a hole tapped with it would not accept a M8x.75 bolt.Yet when I pointed out to the supplier that they'd sent the wrong size, their response was essentially, it just looks different, but it's the right size.Which it isn't. I measured it, and I have other M8x0.75 taps, which are both marked correctly, measure correctly, and are compatible with a M8x.75 bolt.
