Esschert Design USA Cast Iron Heating Plate

I looked at a lot of options before buying. I'm fairly happy with it. It uses tea lights, which means it just barely warms things up. I used it for a fondue recently and it did the job as the fondue was made on the stove and just had to be kept warmish while dipping bread into the cheese . It is not going to keep anything really hot. However the price was good, the size was good for standard size 6-8 person dining table and it is really quite pretty if you like cast iron.

Ordered two. One was broken. I suspect that had more to do with the frigid polar vortex weather than the product. It was too cold to ship anything safely, and I should have waited. Charming warmer, though. Much more personality and ambiance than a flat electric plate.

I needed something to keep my food warm at a party, and bought this one. The picture online made it look a lot bigger than what it really is. (No, I did not look at the specs to see measurements.) This will not keep a 9X13 casserole dish warm. I just bought another one, and put 1 casserole dish on 2 burners. Do love the looks of this.

My mom got one of these years ago and she always uses it for family gatherings. Everyone always compliments her on it and wants to know where she got it. (hometown boutique that closed down) So we were thrilled to find it on Amazon!! My mom ordered it for me for a bridal shower gift and I love it. There's a dish we make for our Christmas Eve party that sits perfect on this tray and with the tea lights it keeps it warmed up for the whole party. Great gift for any hostess!

I bought this as a gift for a friend of mine for her birthday. No sooner had I given it to her than she was using it during a holiday party. She received many compliments about it and several inquiries as to where she found it! It kept the food warm without over heating and burning! Outstanding idea!

I love the teapot warmer the only thing is it does not fit to teapot.

I love how it's look as tea pot warmer or any other pot warmer. I can use small cast iron pot on this to keep meal or soup warm on dinner table. Visually very good a useful tool. It's warmer not cooker so do not expect cooking on this small tealight candles.

Used this with a small le Creuset brie dish to make fondue. Had to heat fondue over stove first but it kept it perfect during our party and looked great! So much better than an ugly fondue pot. Got many compliments!

Ich nutze nicht als Speise- oder Getränkewärmer im angedachten Sinne,sondern habe es umfunktioniert mit Tontöpfen, als kleinen Tisch-Heizofen. Handwärmer und der Tee oder Kaffee wird auch warmgehalten;)

Good slightly rusty brown finish.The two handles are slightly proud so suits a dia of 22cm or 8.5”, to ensure the dish sits flat.Or use two together - works well for large casserole dishes and makes the dish more stable.
