Not an all around grill
I bought this grill for Christmas a year ago. I use it often, but only for certain foods. Using my IR thermometer I discovered the cooking temp of the top grill plate was 440 degrees and on the bottom the temp was 410 degrees. The top grill has very low ridges and sounds like thin sheet metal when I thump it. The bottom grill plate is a respectable thick cast metal. This explains why my steaks would have grill marks only on the bottom and seared to a solid crust over the top. This does not pass as a grilled steak in Texas. I ruined a lot of nice thick steaks before learned to only cook hamburgers, chicken and fish....My dog learned to love burned steak. I also reduce the recommended cooking times by at least one minute from the Foreman provided chart. The guy that designed the grease pan should be locked in a room with a dozen dirty grease pans and a roll of paper towels and not let out until he cleaned them all. He would rush to his drawing board and remove all the impossible to clean corners. If I had spent $60.00 on this grill I would have sent it back on day two.

GEORGE FOREMAN GRILL
I just bought this grill at Walmarts for $20.00I tried it and really liked it. If it had temperature controlit would have been a 5 star.PROS:It is a large version of GF's grills which is what I wantedI cooked 4 chicken breasts and threw on top some fresh mixed veggies. When closing it though I had to take some veggies out.Cooked the chicken beautifully in 9 minutes.Veggies were still a bit crispy still so I cooked them about 5 minutes longer.(peppers, onions, mushrooms, beans) While cooking veggies & chicken I used my waterbottle sprayer and sprayed the meal to create some juices and keep the meal frombecoming dry.Easy clean-up and catches grease just fine with grease pan included.I brought it to my countertop, placed it overhanging onto the sink and usedthe sprayer to rinse off the stuck on chicken.CONS:No temperature control dials on it at all.So you need to go by the timing included in the recipe bookor if you do your own recipe you should stay there for safety reasons.Otherwise no other complaints.

Nice indoor grill
I've learned this grill works great for a salmon steak. Chicken breasts turn out juicy but OK, nothing very special. Also, I grill a lot of veggies on it - the majority of them are nicely coocked. The only exception is tomatoes - it's impossible to clean the plates out after tomatoes get burned. Overall, I'd say this this a nice indoor grill.
