Birds love it
My squirrel proof bird feeder is a popular place when full of this birdseed. Small birds like finches can get into the feeder, larger birds like cardinals and others pick up the tasty seed from the ground underneath. When I fill the feeder, in takes about 10-15 minutes for one bird to check it out; then they announce the new supply to their friends and it becomes grand central station at the bird feeder.

Best bulk Safflower Seeds
I use Safflower to deter Starlings and these Safflower seeds are of very good quality. All seed-eaters will readily take them such as Cardinals, Jays, Nuthatches, Woodpeckers, Titmice, etc...Starlings have a hard time dealing with Safflower seeds and leave the feeder.Recommended.

Safflower seed is off-color this year
Safflower seed from different sellers is all rough looking this year due to the midwest floods. This brand is the same. Some seeds are white but most have some brown discolor. Birds don't seem to mind it.

Good quality all around
Super fast delivery very much appreciated in this polar vortex weather! Quality packaging kept the safflower seed protected during shipment. And! The blackbird flock left a few minutes after I put this seed out. All good!

Fast delivery, but I wish they wouldn't use FedEx.
Birds love this stuff. Squirrels not so much, but they learn to eat it. I add hot sauce to it and don't see the squirrels too often anymore.Wish company wouldn't use FedEx to deliver this though. Twice now, FedEx just dumps the box in the driveway and I've almost driven over it.

Not for me.
I have been buying safflower seed from a different company for several years. The birds love it, the squirrels do not. The brand I normally buy was not available. I bought this for myself and my mom. We both had the same experience. The birds just dump it on the ground. They don’t like it. So I have huge piles of seed under all my feeders. I won’t make this purchase again. Money down the drain.
