My daughter was 9 when her father died, and this allowed her to express some of her grief through art and other age-appropriate activities. I love how it explains, in child-appropriate terms and language, about grieving and mourning and what's normal to feel, and healthy ways through this difficult but natural part of life. I sincerely recommend this for children who have lost a close loved one. The books for adults are also excellent.

Such a practical book for children!! Helps to explain grief in a simple way! I also own the teen version!! Great addition for clinician’s working with children.

Good ideas. Laid out as one idea at a time on each page but some pages have lots of room to spare on the page. I feel that the ideas could have been elaborated on moreso instead of just a few sentences.

Will order again. Top notch suggestions to help a grieving adult or child.

This book was a compilation of ideas that were practical, but fairly obvious ways to help a child with their sadness. I was hoping for more inovative ideas that I could use in my practice working with children who experienced a loss.

This was most helpful for my grandchildren after their dad passed.
