The only review you'll ever need.
For starters, I bought these because I have an iPhone and I hate the Apple ear buds. My inner ear is a little larger than average, so the ear buds fall out all the time. I wanted something that was in-ear, offered the same sound quality, and had a comparable microphone.Pros:- nylon cord (the same material a basketball net is made from). Doesn't make a big difference, but it's a little lighter than the alternative...and helps the ear buds to not fall out as easily.- same sound quality as other more expensive ear buds. I have never owned Beats ear buds, but I can't imagine those being much better quality than these are. For example, when I plug the Apple ear buds into my tablet, I need the volume to be between a 26 and 36 (out of 100) to hear well without it being too loud. When I plug these Symphonized XTC ear buds in, I can hear just as well with the volume being between a 10 and 16 (out of 100), and it doesn't sound grainy or anything.- microphone works well. I placed a phone call and the person I was talking to could hear me perfectly. Just as well if not better than Apple ear buds. Microphone placement is pretty good also. Rests just below the level of my chin.- a little longer than Apple ear buds. I didn't measure, but it feels about 30%-50% longer. A nice luxury I was not expecting.- comes with the medium sized in-ear "pillow" already attached. Also comes with a free larger pair and smaller pair. I tried them all and the smaller ones worked best for me. Pretty easy to slip on and off and it won't tear, and won't come off in your ear.- male jack fits great into my iPhone, iPad, Surface tablet, and laptop. Apple ear buds didn't fit quite right into my new Dell laptop (was too tight...I cut my finger pulling on the ear buds trying to pull them out of the computer). The Symphonized XTC ear buds have a much better grip, and it doesn't fit as tightly. Instead of a 180 degree angle or a 90 degree angle, these have a 135 degree angle. I don't know why it's not a 180 degree angle, but 135 is not a disadvantage.Cons:- not noise-cancelling as advertised. Perhaps they reduce the noise, but not by much. Trust me, I could hear all the screaming kids on my plane ride. I actually prefer NOT noise cancelling. I want to be able to hear if my phone rings or someone says something to me.- the microphone was attached to the left ear bud. I prefer it being attached to the right. It's what I'm used to. On the plus side, there is no difference between the left and right ear piece...so I just switch them (use the L in my right ear) which makes the mic dangle from my right ear.- wood? They say the wood makes the sound better. I'm not sure I believe that. Maybe it's true. It's good quality. I don't care what makes it good sound quality, so I wish they would focus on the big picture, not the little picture in their advertising.Overall:- I'm very happy and would recommend these to anyone in the market for in-ear headphones with a microphone.- good quality. the best bang for your buck you will get.

Decent.
These headphones are DECENT quality. The bass is superb, almost overwhelming, but I don't actually listen to songs where tons of bass would sound good, so I have to use an EQ to tailor the music to my liking. However, the amount of driver flex (crinkling sound when adjusting them or putting them in) is ridiculous, and I don't expect it from a 40 dollar pair of headphones. It annoys me beyond belief and I'll probably return these based solely on that. Also, even with the smallest tips on, they are very uncomfortable in my ears, but this may just be because I have very small ear canals. These also don't have a volume rocker, but that's not necessarily a huge deal.

$16 Beats by Symphonized
For a $16 pair of earbuds, these things pack excellent sound and durability. Add to that the fact that these earbuds have "tangle proof" and flexible wires, customize-able earbud sizes, are compatible with making phone calls on my Galaxy s4, have a gold-coated plug, and have a diagonal connector, you could consider these earbuds to be a steal. It has been over a year since I've used my pair, yet the thing is still holding itself mostly intact! Both earbuds are still working, the bass is still good, and the sound has yet not become distorted (at any frequency, nor the bass in any case, as far as my young ears can tell). Flickering has begun to occur more frequently, however, since about two months before this review was written. The only downside to these earbuds is that they can come off fairly easily, especially when wax gets on them. Because of this, I have not bothered wearing these headphones when I go for a sprint or when I work out. The earbud casing is also cheap (but there shouldn't be a complaint here, since these things only cost $16 and not, say, $150.) Moreover, making phone calls with these things on can get frustrating when you are in a loud environment, as the mic does not filter out background noises. That being said, the microphone picks up heavy breathing too.Unfortunately, like all good things in life, I foresee that these earbuds shall last me no longer than 13 months, which puts them in 2nd place for the most durable pair of earbuds ever (on my list of purchased earbuds, that is), with the Klipsch s4 earbuds being the most durable earbuds I have ever used; those things lasted almost 2 years. Note that the Klipsch s4 also costs almost 5 times the price of these earbuds! Do be wary of the fact that I prevent my headphones from tangling up, that I have never dropped them in water, or that I have put them through a mechanical test course (which would probably involve having my 330 pound friend step on them to see if they would still be usable afterwards.)On a scale of 1 to 10, I give these earbuds a rating of 8.8, and would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a cheap, yet good pair of headphones. Keep in mind that these things will only last long when they are taken good care of. If you are one of those people that toss their headphones around the house after you've finished them, don't expect them to last more than several months (or weeks for that matter.) Also, if your ears tend to get sweaty (as mine do) or you are looking for earbuds for your workout, you may want to consider wearing a different pair of earbuds (preferably a type of earbud that has the little piece that digs into your earlobe, whatever that is called).

Fantastic, cheap earbuds
It's usually the brands that aren't known very well that have the most quality products, and it's certainly the case here. Simply fantastic pair of earbuds, excellent all-arounders. The noise isolation is also very good, much better than I expected. I was on a noisy public bus and about 80% of all outside noise was gone. For this price point it's a steal. One downside is while the controls do come with play/pause and microphone to make calls, it doesn't have a volume rocker. Also, if the braided cable (while it does a good job of staying untangled) rubs against any clothing you can hear the rough sound coming up the line. Admittedly it's a little annoying at first but you get used to it. Other than those minor gripes, absolutely great pair of earbuds for the money.

Huge success for hear it all at a low volume.
I had the pleasure to acquire these earphones and I had the chance to listen to some great Hi-Fi systems, headphones and earphones.Every day things:They look great, there's a nice pouch to travel around with, they feel like they are made from good quality materials and are going to last for long time rather than short. They come with 6 comply tips, two kinds for different sound, but I found the black/bigger hole ones to be less sibilant. They're actually quite comfortable. Its microphone is seriously good at the price, I wished many other big name companies had made a microphone this sensitive, yet neutral and clear. Of course if you stick it up to your mouth there will be just a wall of sound, but if you let it loose, like you should when you talk, the microphone picks it up no problem. :)For sports get a clip to hold them they have quite a lot of noise when literally just touched anywhere at the cable, so bad microphonics. However I can't fault it at the price as a big let down or even a 4 star review. Something to be mindful of.It's definitely something to look for in the future for the brand to improve for their next project.Sound:First it's a very wide frequency spectrum earphones, meaning that the rumbling of the thunder can be felt and the tiniest details can be heard, the cynbals being touched, the guitarists touching and brushing the strings. They are fast to respond and at all places. They have simblance meaning they are harsh to listen especially at high volumes quite quickly, but they sound perfect at a lower volumes because our ears at low volumes need more high and low frequencies to be perceived as neutral. So it's leaning towards v-shaped sound but more to the bright side, so things like claps, high pitched voices to hit-hats and cymbals are more pronounced. However at lower volumes, a bit lower than medium at my iPhone 4s gave the fullest sound that seemed loud. They are also sensitive, so they really don't need power. The separation is good for the price and the acoustics are indeed better than a metal earphone, for example Betron's that sound nothing as refined as they are, and mind you I bought the highest rated Betron earphones. Returned back the moment I heard them. I found the iPhone earbuds also lacking the involvement in music that these give to you. Some Plastic earphones are simply well done, say Audeo Phonak PFE, but certainly much expensive and not even in sale anymore for a long time (good and affordable things always tend to disappear. The vsonics too...)There's certain magic to hearing everything at low volumes. This has it.When I heard them I bought one pair for my girlfriend and my dad too.My girlfriend didn't receive it yet, she lives far, but my dad was thrilled to listen to them, he actually took my pair!He appreciates the sound it gives on a low volume. Btw. I grew up on Technics hi-fi tower. Great brand. The dynamics: especially important in styles like the classical music etc. is not the best unfortunately. They don't let the music flow through so easily, they struggle unfortunately with dynamic songs. Not the worst, and at the price I can't fault it at all. Something to improve in the future I hope.Eq'ing them proved difficult, they didn't respond well, as dynamic earphones tend to do.They became less harsh and sibilant after letting them burn-in for 15 hours. No need for loud volumes it starts to distort at lower volumes after putting it on max volume for a longer time. Play the FM noise or music at little higher than medium volume and leave all day and night, or just listen at low volumes, though it can get tiring. So!A big no to loud volumes, and a big yes to low volumes, this earphones rock.Never looked back at this price.

Did not last long (4 months)
I would not recommend this product. It's not durable. The right ear bud died first after 3 months. Then the left earbud died after another month. I had to throw it as garbage.
