Seto Japanese Chef Knives: Damascus Forged Steel from World Famous Seki, Japan (I-4: 210 mm: Gyuto)

Firstly, this stunning Nakiri knife (180mm vegetable knife) arrived much earlier than expected (around 20 days earlier in fact), which was a lovely surprise. Now to the knife - this is singularly THE most beautifully crafted knife I have ever owned and can't stop looking at. The quality of the workmanship is outstanding and the knife is incredibly sharp, I gave it the soft tomato test and it sliced instantly and thinly through it, like a hot knife through butter, I don't suppose it gets much better than that. It's almost too beautiful to use! Exceptional price too at £75. I would not hesitate to recommend this knife to anyone. I wish I had found this range sooner as I would have loved the utility knife (which is no longer in stock) but will be buying soon the mini santoku knife/parer.

Small, for detail work. Right hand side of the handle has a small raised welt.After four months use, the red stamping is wearing off. The Damascus figuring is standing up well.Handle with care as it is very sharp and holds it's edge well.A worthwhile purchase and should give me years of pleasurable use.

i love it, i cook everyday because i enjoy it but sometimes preparation can be a pain not anymore this knife is incredibly sharp and light it makes veg prep so easy that its now something i really enjoy, i definitely recommend it

I like this knife. Its durable and well made.

Knife is very attractive, steel is very hard, will chip if not looked after. Note: handle is mostly plastic, not wood as in the description. I very much doubt this was hand forged. Hence the great price.
