Charming book for my great granddaughters

This book is cute and has simple illustrations without many distracting colors or objects on a page. It is also not overly wordy while telling a cute but complete story with a female little lion as the hero. It is one of the few that my 7 month old asks me to read to her again and again. It has three simple flaps and, while it could have more, it also has ample opportunity for parents to make sounds and "play" with their child while reading which is why I believe that she loves this book so much. It does not have tactile things or many colors but, as I said before, I believe the simplicity is part of the charm for my baby. In the end the little lion "had it with her (her roar) all along" which is the message I want to give to my daughter whom I hope will grow up to be confident, competent, brave and assertive. I love this book and would highly recommend it.
