R7s LED Bulb 118mm, Attaljus 110V Double Ended Dimmable Light Bulbs, 2700LM Warm White 3000K, 200-250W Halogen Bulb Replacement, J Type R7s Base Floodlight for Flood Lamps

Time to do all the little stuff I never got to in the ‘old days’ several months ago, before house arrest… I’d been looking to replace a couple of old 300 w. halogen torchiere lamps. At first I looked for new LED torchieres to replace them but couldn’t find any I liked. Nearly all are a foot or so shorter than the old torchieres, about 5’. I don’t like staring straight into the bulb when I stand up. I wondered if anyone made a directl LED replacement for the old 300 w. halogen bulbs. Yes! Really nice ones too. Available in 3K and 6K color temps., I got the warmer 3K which is perfect color temp. Unlike halogens, the LED bulbs keep the same color temp as they dim. The new LEDs are 30 watts! So two of them is 60 watts vs. 600 watts for the old halogens. 1/10 the energy use and much lower heat load. Important in LA summers. I’m really happy with these bulbs. Heavier than expected. Less bright than expected. Too early to rate longevity.

The media could not be loaded. I bought one in April and it was great until this past September, when it burned out. It only lasted 5 months, but I can’t return it or get it replaced because it has a 90 day return policy. I know it should have lasted for at least a year, especially with the high price. They should update their return policy on such items; if it doesn’t last to at least the minimum lifetime, it should still be replaceable. The second one I bought also just burned out and it lasted just over a month. They have such a short lifetime for their expensive price. I don’t know what to do now.

Works perfectly in this 27 year old lamp! The dimmer switch performs exactly as it did for the quartz/halogen 300 watt bulb. Could not be happier with the product and ordered another bulb today for my other torchiere. No more worry about heat/fire from the 300 watt bulb and the added plus of consuming only 30 watts. UPDATE: Bought two in May, 2019 and still working fine.

It's still working but it fogged up the glass of my worklight and theres some kind of liquid condensation on it now that wont go away no matter how long i leave it turned off for.and after a few minutes of being on it fogs up the glass. i turned it on with the glass taken off and its emitting some kind of weird oily smell and I can see small whisps of smoke in front of the light if I look at it from the side.It's still working but I dont think its going to last for very long.for now I have to run it without the glass in front otherwise it gets fogged up and condensation on the inside appearsEdit: It stinks so bad. the whole room smells like chemicals now! even on my dimmers lowest setting it doesnt help much it still smells bad

I wanted to replace the halogen bulb in an old torchiere lamp due to the extreme heat and power inefficiency and this LED replacement dropped right in.Problem is it's so physically large that it sits above the lamp shade so when I faced the lamp, I was literally looking directly into the blinding LED emitters.it would be fine for any use where it fits completely inside the fixture.

Easy install to replace the delicate and HOT halogen. Knew that it would not be as bright but puts out smooth even light.

When the light just turned on, it feels ok. But leave it on for a while, it dimmed and you could here the hissing noise.
