We have a pergola that doesn't have electricity two of these strings were the perfect solution. They run about 6 hours each night which is perfect, and the batteries are replaceable if they fail before the solar panel does. The connector is standard so if it does fail we can get new parts too.

Perfect size for what we needed. We are using lighting on our canopy tent. Looks nice too. Well made amd functional. Good value for the price.

I ordered this product for low-impact party lighting in the yard. I also ordered it/them (multiple sets) because they were gangable and there was a micro USB port included. I'm a HUGE fan of the new technology of being able to power LED party lights through USB as opposed to plugging in or batteries. The reason I gave it a no-go on longevity is because I have no idea how long these puppies will last. They will be sun-beaten, wind-tossed, frozen and rained on, so I just don't know. Perhaps a follow-up will be in order. PROs - two extra bulbs included. Nice. Manual is not overly explicit but it IS adequate. You just need to figure it out. The light bases are tapped. That's a good thing. They screw in. No figuring out how to replace a burned out (I would hope that wouldn't happen with an LED light) bulb. The "Charged," indicator is not readily apparent at first (on USB) but it will become apparent if you're patient. NOTE - if you find a weak bulb, SCREW it tight, don't try to push it in tight. They are multiple-string connectable. PLUS, there are four modes. They are not cheap but they ARE energy efficient. CONs - and here we go. No remote. Be sure when placing the the controller/solar panel it is accessible by hand. The controls are push button and it takes some time to get to where you want to go. The lights are bright!!! That's a good thing, but it's not when any mode but, "Steady," is selected. You will experience either a headache or a Grand Mal seizure in any of the other three modes. Nothing subtle about the other modes. No micro USB cord included. You will have to provide your own. I'm a technophile so I have plenty of extras on hand. When I lit up the first set, I had one bulb that was intermittent. I fiddled with it and fiddled with it and it just wouldn't cooperate. POS, right? Ahhh... I looked at the replacement bulbs and behold! They were screw in! I looked at the errant bulb, gave it a few positive twists and the issue was resolved! So be sure, if you're experiencing consistency issues to evaluate the situation thoroughly before you go throwing the towel in. Would I recommend? Yes. Changes I would recommend? Program for a remote control and include the remote in the package. Would give MUCH more flexibility to placement of lights. Include a compatible micro USB cord. Lots of potential purchasers will be expecting as much. Include more modes. A subtle slow-fade would be SO nice. So would a twinkle or slow-chase mode. A dim mode would be bonus, too. The head-banger party modes are nauseating. If you're looking for a retro-disco party mode, you'll want one of the head-banger modes. If it's something more relaxing, good luck with that. I will only be using the steady mode. But overall, not a bad product. It's like adopting a rescue. You just have to figure out where it's coming from and adapt. More later on the longevity when I know. STRONG four stars.

I originally bought a much more expensive brand with a larger bulb. Those were hideous and did not come with usb charging capability. I returned them and ordered these. I have 2 sets and they are fantastic! I attached them using black zip ties . They are very sturdy and have withstood 100 mph winds. Mine aren’t the ones with the remote control , I have no need for that! Sometimes I don’t get any sun to charge the solar panel which is when the usb port comes in handy. They charge quickly and hold a charge all night. They turn on automatically and lend a nice romantic light to my outdoor area. There’s also a timer that turns them off after 6 hours or you can leave them on all night. They light the stairwell enough to see where you’re going. They’re bright enough to see from the street as well. Easy to install. I receive many compliments from my neighbors.

I put these up on my chicken coop and I loved them!! for like a week :( I think the solar panel went out none of the lights on the panel come on at all. I don't want to remove everything from the coop not sure if maybe I can get a panel replacement, tried to reach out to the company but I dont see an option for that on the Amazon app. Super sad since they are adorable. There may be a chance that it was used as a lot of the light bulbs were dented when it arrived (my chickens don't mind so not a huge deal I guess) Hoping to hear back from the company, if not I'll have to tear everything down :(

I purchased a 2nd set after the first set seemed to be getting dim after 5 years of continuous operation outdoors. As I was setting up the new lights, I realized the solar panel on the original set was just dirty and the old lights still work. It is impressive that they still charge and light up after almost 2,000 cycles. I may try changing the battery on the old set next since the solar panel and charging seems to still work,
