I used these bars to hang a full sized adult kayak (top yellow kayak in picture). The yellow kayak is at least 20 years old and it’s made well, thick plastic...heavy! I even have a heavy duty creekkooler inside of the kayak. The bars work as they should. They hold my boat...not much more to it. As long as you’re not aggressive with the them, slamming the boat on the rack or ripping the boat out of the rack, they should be fine. Yes they do have a little give to them in comparison to a more expensive rack that I used to hang the bottom kayak, but I also paid a lot more for the ones on the bottom. You get what you pay for. I’m happy with them.

So easy to install! Bad enough to hang up both kayaks and haven’t had any problems at all with them!

Heavy duty - works great for hanging the boats

Used the screws it came with and it’s holding up just fine. Could use instructions but I was able to do it just fine.

These hangers worked perfectly in my garage. The set of four hangers are now holding two Kayaks on my garage wall now. (Two hangers for each Kayak). Just make sure you find the studs in your wall to anchorthe hangers, or the weight of the Kayak will rip them out of the wall. (Note) you might wanna use longer screws than the ones they supply like I did. They are plenty wide enough for any type of Kayak you may have. I have a 12 foot Old Town Loon Kayak resting in one of the sets and it fits the hanger with no problem.

Good product and price. Only issue was the screw heads stripping out while screwing them in with the Dewalt driver. I’d recommend going to local hardware store for a better quality screw, or pre-drilling a hole before installing. On a VERY windy day one of my boats blew out of the bracket. I put a small eye bolt in the fence to tie them off to. No other issue since. I don’t imagine a more expensive bracket being any better than these.

They ended up being stronger than expected.Worth the purchase.

This is a cheap rack that certainly works but there are some problems that make the cheap price not worth it for me.1) The 'J' part of the hook if you will - the part that extends out from the wall - rises up at too high of an angle. That requires you lifting the kayak up higher to get it on/off. So if your kayak is heavy then likely the bars will scratch the bottom of your kayak as you put it on/off. Better kayak wall racks have the 'J' part extend out a little farther and at lower of an angle. Also there is more padding. The cap at the end would often come off as I put on/off the kayak.2) The wall rack hooks shake. They will securely hold your kayak if mounted to wall studs. But they bend down and shake when holding and putting on/off the kayak.Overall this rack will hold your kayak fine. But if you plan on putting on/off your kayak frequently, and if you don't want scratches on your kayak, I would get a better rack.
