Daily Delight Murphy Cabinet Chest Bed with Charging Station & 6" Memory Foam Mattress, Queen (Cherry)

Very nice piece of high quality furniture. All wood (no laminate over cheap press board or particle board). Cherry finish is beautiful, and the mattress is extremely comfortable (Way better than any sofa bed I've ever slept on). It took me 2.5 hours to unpack and set up with no assistance using recommended tools (manual and electric screwdriver, and hammer). Instructions were very clear and all parts were well labeled. Communication and help from Jason at the Murphy Bed Store was exceptional as we worked delivery details into my community that does not permit tractor trailers due to narrow and winding roads. We talked no less than half-a-dozen times over the course of the week and, when issues arose, Jason was there to solve them. Thanks also to their Freight Shipper Old Dominion and one of their employees who delivered the furniture in the back of his personal pickup. Could not be happier with the furniture or the delivery. Thanks to all.

We are pleased with this purchase. The communication when delivering the piece was excellent. We knew exactly what to expect, which is good given the weight and price of this item. When opening one of the boxes, we did see that one of the pieces was damaged. I called the customer service line and actually got a live person on the phone...on a Saturday no less! He apologized and then gave me easy instructions as to how to get a replacement part. (Take pictures of the damage & the replacement part needed.) I did. They responded promptly and I had my new part within the week. (Pretty amazing given this happened over the July 4th Holiday.) (This is the only reason why I gave it a 4 star rating.) It is a heavy piece, but has several parts. We were able to move most to our basement by ourselves. One piece was over 90lbs, so we got assistance in moving that. My husband took his time putting it together. It took a few hours. He did need a little of my assistance. The directions were clear and easy to follow. The bed is comfortable and we are now ready to host overnight guests, who will be very comfortable in this new space. The doors swing pretty wide. So, you will need good clearance on either side to make sure they open without obstruction. It opens and closes well. Because it's new, and we have a tile plank floor, we use two people to open it. It is a pretty addition to our room as well!

Service with shipping was excellent. Well protected to keep product safe in transport and delivery. Product is well constructed and looks great in the room. Does not look cheap or flimsy. Product easy to assemble. Only wish hinges and latches had been pre drilled as the screws were hard to get started. Small snag in that a couple places the instructions had typos for parts labels. Overall, extremely pleased with the product. Just assembled and mattress still expending so not sure about the quality.

Solid, good looking cabinet, decent mattress. It’s heavy, and is a tall cabinet - too tall to place in front of my window - which I didn’t fully appreciate before buying, so measure your space. Also, If you assume that the cabinet-end is the “head” of the bed, be aware that your head will be slightly enclosed within the cabinet, which might not work for tall or claustrophobic sleepers. My guest slept with their head at the foot of the bed.

This company called me two hours after I purchased the bed to thank me, explain the shipping process and provide a direct phone number for any questions, These guys are amazing!!! Extremely well packaged. Great easy to follow instructions, minimal tools required, hammer and #2 Phillips. All hardware is identified by a letter on its individual package so keep all screws in their package until the instructions call for that letter. I'm still amazed at how well everything fit together. The entire cabinet is solid wood with a beautiful finish and the mattress is very comfortable. The operation of the bed is amazing and the extra space reclaimed is great.

I was pretty skeptical, but it is one of the nicest things in my house now. Real solid wood, great look, and gorgeous function. Word to the wise, it is heavy, and you will need a strong helper with parts if you are going up or down stairs. Could be a bit easier to put together, and the manual has some vague parts. Just be sure to read through the installation steps and double check the parts and directions of the part you are working on, and it will come out great.

Unit takes much longer to assemble than one would think. It took three people three hours to assemble. This unit not designed to be used on carpet. I have to kind a way to raise it off the carpet. The company does not sell anything to use if you have thick carpet. Very disappointed for use on carpet.

The Murphy bed came packed extremely well and arrived on a large wooden pallet. Some pieces were heavy maybe 50 or 60 pounds but all manageable enough for me and my husband to cart into our basement. We put it together and it looks great. Only minor issue is that the very front of the cabinet on one side needs some extra care in getting the door to lock properly. The mattress is very comfortable and the bed is quite sturdy. Very excited that we now have a guest bed where we could not have fit a standard sleeper through our doorway. Definitely recommend!
