Stylish and works great!
My husband thought it had a flawed design, but it worked great! He’s quiet now. Ha! Ha! I love the wood too and would highly recommend!

Beautiful and Functional
Beautiful. Works well. I’ve had to oil it 2-3 x already, the wood is a little rough, so I hope it smooths out with use and more sesame seed oil.

I Feel like a Fancy French Pastry Chef with my French Rolling Pin.
I feel like a fancy French pastry Chef with my French Rolling Pin. For one, it's just so pretty, the wood is beautiful not to mention it's much easier to control when rolling out pastries, pies, cookies etc than and the kind with the handles. Get one and you will feel like a Super Baker. Be sure and oil it a couple times in the beginning and once in a while. Also, it's easy to rinse off just dry it off really good. Have fun!

First wooden rolling pin -- NICE!
Wow, why did it take me so long to figure out that a wooden rolling pin is the way to go? I've been using plastic (!!) for way too many years.I like the weight of this in my hands. It feels perfect -- easy to use and roll. Not too heavy and not too light. It's also *beautiful* to look at. It really is a beautiful kitchen tool.I like the tapered ends, as well. It's ergonomic and makes rolling pie crusts so easy. I highly recommend this -- you won't regret your purchase.

Way easier than a traditional US-style roller
I had read suggestions to use this French style roller, and I was a bit skeptical. But after now using it several times, I am so glad I got one. It's much easier to manipulate the dough as you have more control. And, your knuckles don't get in the way like they do with a US style roller. This is easy to clean, and can be washed as long as you set it up to air dry immediately. It's wood, so of course do not leave it in water to soak.

Not just functional - almost an object d'art
I've always wanted a french rolling pin, and finally decided to get one. While many are made of a lighter wood, when I saw this walnut version, I was sold. And it didn't disappoint in person. Very smooth, well made in the U.S. It's a nice long size, too, and versatile in that you can have hands on both ends, or just one hand on either end. That's more a function of a french rolling pin, not just this one. But this is a work of art. I applied mineral oil right when I got it, which brought out the grain. I will use a food grade was from now on. It's worth the extra money.

Best rolling pin we’ve ever owned
This is my favorite rolling pin we’ve ever owned. The shape and length of it make it much easier to manage, and it rolls the dough out more evenly. It makes it easier to get the dough in whatever particular shape you want.
