The four arm X shaped handle on the tap I received was very small, which made it difficult for my wife to use. You would need very strong fingers to be able to grip the handle and turn the tap on and off.But unfortunately, in addition, the spindle on the tap was also extremely stiff, which I lubricated with a generous amount of oil, achieving only a slightimprovement.So I have junked this tap and reverted back to a cheap and cheerful, standard plastic water barrel tap.

Fast delivery and fits easily. ( Make sure to measure the curvature and distance between curve and overflow opening on YOUR water Butt) I have attached a length of hosepipe to the connector and excess water flows to my small pond. This solved the problem of a flooded path and waterlogged surrounding soil when it rained heavily. I have a really good "wetland" area around the pond and it's claws up from the garden frog population.

These bulkhead fittings are robust and straightforward to fit - and provided a simple way of making a leak-proof connection to my three linked water butts.
