I had a square one that I bought for about $50 a few years back. My cat scratched the surface to pieces. Time for a new one. However, I was shocked at the current prices for the same type of ottoman, be in on Amazon or elsewhere. I live in an apartment and this checked all the boxes, sturdy, storage and cover that is a table in reverse. I was a little hesitant because this one is wider, a rectangle and I was afraid it would be too big. Honestly, it is just a little bigger and I've come to enjoy a slightly larger storage area and table to eat on. Really does not take up that much more room at all. Also I got white. I was nervous it would be bright white. I really wanted beige. This is an off-white color and blends nicely with everything. There are a couple of slight creases on the top but hardly noticable. For the price, absolutely cannot go wrong. Also, it is light weight and I am 67 yrs. old. I can easily move it around and lift it off the rug to vacuum.

A few reviewers who got the white ottomans seem dissatisfied with the overly bright color; however, I got two of the blue ones and both do not have that problem at all. Both have deep blue color true to the product picture, and do not stand out awkwardly among furniture as the white ones might.I have compared this storage ottoman to many others from Target and Crate&Barrel, and came to the conclusion that this is not only the best bang for the buck, but it is my favorite regardless of price.The leather has nice texture with just the right amount of smoothness and shine; the storage space is as ample as you would expect from the size of the product; the handles are convenient for flipping the lid over and for quickly pulling the ottoman closer to your couch.Quick comparisons with few other leather ottomans:- The ones sold in Crate&Barrel that cost twice as much as these certainly look good. Their ottomans are much heavier and use thicker, stronger leather with less shine, which can look more luxurious indeed. However, they lack handles and since the lids are very heavy and tight against the ottoman, they are extremely inconvenient if you want to access the things stored inside or want to flip over the lid to use as a coffee table on a daily basis.-Threshold ones sold in Target have similar weight and look of leather as these Convenient Concepts ottomans at first glance. However, the colors are less deep and the leather feels terribly sticky.Thus I found these Convenient Concepts ottoman to be the most convenient storage ottomans for daily use in the living room and do not hesitate to recommend this.[EDIT: I do not know if any of these ottomans use real leather or if they're just leather-like material; I don't really care so I just say leather for convenience. Clarifying in case it's misleading!]

A nice bright red so if that's the color you want, which I did, you won't be disappointed with a drab "almost red" that I sometimes see. This is well made. Heavy enough to stay in place but not too heavy to move around when you want to clean, etc. Can't think of any down side to this product. I've had similar square ottomans for years, not as well made as this, so I expect this to last.

To my eyes, it tends to a white tone more than an ivory, although not a bright, glaring white. (So hard to judge color when ordering online.) The size is great for my small living room, and I can fit a folded blanket and two throws inside. (Depending on the nature of the blanket or throw, possibly one more or one less.) The reverse side of the top cushion has a commodious and an undivided tray. Some of the black finish rubbed off in two or places along the rim, but that's easily remedied.

I usually don’t write reviews, but this Ottoman is such a great value that I wanted to write something. The quality is high; its impressively sturdy, durable, looks great, has ample storage, works great when the top is flipped acting as a tray table, and comes assembled! I have a cat that scratches and jumps around on the furniture sometimes and it has yet to puncture the cover which speaks to its high durability. I dont know the weight limit, but it supports st least 200 pounds when I stand on it to change lightbulbs.I was worried it would look cheap because of the price, but it actually makes my other furniture look cheap by comparison. Similar quality items in stores would cost 4x as much. One of of my favorite buys ever, definitely give it a chance, you wont be disappointed.

Bought May 2020 and still going strong in looks, space saving, and fashionable alternative to a nighttable in January 2022 which is when I'm writing this review. Got it to have an element a different colour complementing what was already in the room (dark blue blackout curtains) and the blue colour I ordered for the pair exactly matches the picture in this listing. I absolutely love the ability to store, sit, or turn over the cover and use it as a nighttable to hold a cup of tea or water, a diffuser, whatever paperwork or book I'm working on, or my Chromebook or phone while they charge for the night. We didn't have space the way our bedroom furniture is set up to stick two nighttables in, and our bed is a wrought iron fleur de lis design with a matching dresser, so it's easy for some average wood dresser to not match this unusual design since it's not a solid bedhead. Going away from nighttables and getting something that fulfills a nighttable's function but with a different look so everything isn't all matching is considered good interior design anyway, not suppose to have every piece of furniture in the room identical. We also have dark blue blankets so this works out nicely as an accent colour! Really efficient purchase, super happy and will be buying more!
