Pink Mountaintops might not be the best-known band ever to make rock 'n' roll, but on GET BACK they just might have written it's scripture - an exploration and celebration of what, exactly, rock 'n' roll can be. When the aliens touch down and they don't know rock 'n' roll, you can play them GET BACK start to finish and that'll be all they need.

A dip in form
Ok, first off it’s really 3 and a HALF stars but Amazons archaic ratings system doesn’t allow that. So basically 7/10.Pink Mountaintops are Stephen McBeans offshoot band/solo project call them what you will.He of underground rockers, with a proggy feel, Black Mountain. PM are even more underground, a bit more punky.Not a bad album but I prefer their earlier stuff Axis of Evol etc, but a fine antidote to the current almost rock free scene, where even Glastonbury has to turn to rap and the likes of the Scottish Wookie to fill slots.
