A truly excellent book that I struggled to find for a few years. I'm glad I kept searching. If this stuff works for the Police Force (Rick is an ex mounted policeman), it'll certainly do your average horse a whole lot of good. I only wish more people today used this sort of stuff on their horses, I only have to see someone riding down the road on a skittish thoroughbred who's spinning and terrified of the lorry coming down the hill, and I think to myself "She could have done with reading that book I have..."I've successfully used these methods on many horses, even the ones many people claim are too frightened or too old to learn.. honestly, try it, persevere, you won't be disappointed at the end result. It teaches you and your equine subject how to set your horse up to "win" in each situation.

A most excellent tome, that undoubtedly helped my wife to educate 'Dreamgirl' to be the safe, risk free ride she now is.If I'd known how The Devil's Disciple would turn out, I'd never have bought her the book......

good book worth the money

Bought this book when I bought a flighty show pony. It is full of easy to understand and follow suggestions to help you make handling and riding your horse much more safely,especially as our roads and countryside become more and more frightening to many horses and ponies.

I got the book first from the library and loved it. I loved it so much that I had to get the book on my shelf. Very colorful and descriptive.
