It doesn’t suit my tundra as the one I have starts to open at 68c* So I think it’s better than opening at 71c*

My 2007 Tundra original thermostat needed replacement. I purchased this as it runs about 20 degrees cooler. I live in Arizona and the lower temp helps in the summer and when towing. Another review mentioned better gas milage, but I was sceptical. Not now for the last 5 months my average went up by about 0.4-0.5 gallon per mile.

The thermostat worked okay at first, but noticed my tundras temps began to rise this summer. Thermostat stuck closed at 190. Left me stranded on the side of the road when the truck coolant temp reached 240.

The mishimoto 160 degree thermostat works great on my 2008 5.7 Toyota Tundra. It opens at 160 and doesn’t let the truck get any hotter that 180 (so far so good). The only reason I made it 4 stars instead of 5 was because my thermostat came in the box not pre assembled in the housing like it tells you in the info about the thermostat. Was a pain to put on but I finally put it in the housing myself. This thermostat has definitely helped when towing to keep the engine from getting in the 200s. Very happy with this product.
