Worth the price!
**NOTE** If you’re late to the Knitting series like I was and missed a lot of these as freebies, I felt the price was worthwhile. If you were able to collect these through Penny’s newsletters and what not, then 🤷🏻♀️I was lacking the Scenes from the City bits and decided to splurge on this ebook so I could finally read them. I loved the odds and ends that completed the Kintting series. I also appreciated how some scenes provided much-needed closure on some of my favorite characters and the what happens after questions I had swirling in my head. After I finished the ebook, I immediately turned around to buy the print copy because 1) I enjoyed the shorts that much, 2) so I wouldn’t be scrambling to find a way to read the book like I did for Scenes in the City, and 3) I now have all the scenes and extras in one handy little place to turn to when I want to reread them.

5 Stars!
No, most of this is not new. Yes, some of it you could have gotten for free in the past if you've been reading Penny's books from when they were first released. The reviewers complaining about the cost of this and that much of it was previously released, obviously doesn't follow Ms. Reid on social media nor subscribe to her newsletter, nor have ever visited her website. She has announced for months and months that you could have gotten this content for free in the past. But there are people like me who didn't find Penny til after most of the free stuff was not longer available, so I am SUPER happy to pay the 5.99 price so I can get all of the extra content! This is one of my very favorite series ever and I am overjoyed about this book! Maybe all the negative reviewers should pay attention a bit more before being such Debbie Downers!

Love These Couples
If you follow this author on any social media platform, she has said several times that this is a collection of mostly, previously published deleted scenes and extras that just didn’t fit anywhere in their stories.Thrown in are a few new, never before seen scenes. For me personally, I had not read any of these scenes. They were all new to me. And I loved them.If you’ve read the Knitting in the City series, you’ll enjoy going back and revisiting our favorite couples. Laugh with them, cry with them.It made me want to go back and do a re read.I definitely would not start with this book. But I highly recommend the entire series. This was a perfect bow to wrap around the end of the series.

Fun
Since I just finished the series, I grabbed this extras book. I hadn't read any of the excerpts before and it was fun to get more of the knitting club and their mates while the books are all fresh in my mind. I really am on a Penny Reid kick and signed up for the newsletter so as to get future lost chapters, etc. This book really is for someone who has read the entire series, but it was fun to revisit all the couples again.

Such lovely snippets for the ultimate KitC Fan
ETA: Note to the 1-star reviewers, READ THE SMALL PRINT. Not even the small print, even just the basic description. The author mentions repeatedly that this is a collection of all the work that is material that was published elsewhere and often available for free. Geesh! If the price point and lack of new content was the only reason you 1-starred it then that is much more a reflection of you than the book.ORIGINAL REVIEW:*Sigh* I miss these people. These characters, I mean. I so appreciate this collection of random scenes that didn’t belong elsewhere and formed no story and yet continued to inform characters that I adore. The wit and dialogue made be smile through the whole thing. I cried tears of joy and laughed out loud. The only angst this purchase brought me is the desire to spend more time in Chicago and knit with these ladies for real.

Never too much!!
I Love these characters!!! I keep trying to sort out which of these men I would steal for myself. It's been a tie between Greg and Dan. Don't get me wrong, I love Quinn and am entertained by Matt. Although I enjoy Alex and Nico, neither of them are my type. But I am almost completely positive that Dan is my man. And Kat could find someone else. After all, she is an heiress.I loved these extra scenes because I am not ready for these stories to be done. This group of friends and their men have been so much fun. I love that these women are smart and capable and their relationships add to their lives not take away from it. They are all capable on their own as well. And their conversations feel like the ones I have with my friends.

Fun
These were fun bites with characters that I love. My favorites are the ones with Janie and Quinn, but the rest were must as entertaining.

Dissapointed
I love Penny Reid and have all her books on my Kindle even though I’d say Penny’s books are much more expensive than any other of my favourite authors. I was really dissapointed with this one as it was just either repeats of bits of other books and really short. Feel a bit conned and think this book should have been discounted or free to her dedicated fans.

The literary equivalent of the DVD extras
If you’ve read all the Knitting in the City books and aren’t quite ready to let go of the characters then this is the book for you. It’s filled with deleted scenes, alternative scenes and extra scenes. Some have been seen before, either online or in Scenes from the City a few years ago, so if you’ve read that, you may not feel the need for this book. However if you missed it, or you want all the extra bits in one place then it’s worth the buy.

Essential for Penny Reid fans
Essential purchase if you’re a fan of the Knitting in the City “intelligent romance” series of books by Penny Reid. A lot of this compilation has been released elsewhere but if you don’t want to search around old blogs and websites to find them then this handily places them all together in chronological order with a little explanation from Penny as to why something did or didn’t make the final cut. There are also several completely new, unseen segments which don’t disappoint. If you haven’t read this series then don’t buy this, yet - but go and download Neanderthal Seeks Human. You’ll undoubtedly make your way to this compilation in 8 books time.

A fun farewell to a beloved series
There was a lovely nostalgia to reading this collection. It provides sneaky peeks into the lives of some of my favourite characters, before, during and after the action of their respective books. Some of the content has been published before and some was new to this collection: all of it was a delight to read. I’d completely recommend this to any fans of the Knitting in the City crew.
