Marine Band Harmonica, Key of E

I have been using Hohner harmonicas for 25 years professionally and would not buy any other brand. They are the gold standard and Mercedes Benz of harps. I bought this piece together with a Low D and they are both excellent so far.No problems to talk about. Hohner offers 5 low-pitched 1896-Marine-Bands below Key of G : Low D,Low Eb,Low E,Low F,Low F# I wish I could afford them all. This is a good harmonica expecialy if you like a wood comb. Wood comb makes it a mustash hanger and being nailed together makes it hard to service for adjustment and cleaning. BUT! if you ike this kind of harmonica the Folkmaster is just as good for 1/2 the price.

Although I love Honer harmonicas, this one has a brass edge below the the blow holes that act as razor blades on the lips. I will send it back for something else.

great harmonica!! nice and sweet tone!!! has something that any other harmonica has. Using it for just 3 days, dont know if it will go out of tune soon but Im really impressed with it!

Lo más importante, es el sonido que emite, fantástico, genuino, gracias a su cuerpo de madera. Pero es que además está muy bien hecha y, tiene recambios de todo. Es posiblemente la mejor armónica para tocar Country Rock y Blues, aunque también la utilizo para armonizar otros temas de grupos como Pink Floyd, Eagles y Credence Clearwater Revival (CCR)

Je l'ai acheté après un Crossover. Le Crossover était arrivé assez mal réglé et j'ai dû reprendre l'écartement des anches. Le Marine Band est arrivé très bien réglé d'usine, heureusement d'ailleurs car l'assemblage par clous le rend difficile à désassembler. A savoir que les sommiers en poirier du Marine Band sont maintenant bien vernis, ce qui devrait éviter les problèmes de gonflement du bois. Le son est agréable à souhait, c'est la référence de l'harmonica pour le blues.

De las que vi era la que mejor se ajustaba a lo que buscaba. Económica y que al mismo tiempo diera calidad en el sonido.
