I ordered three of these for my company. We upgraded all of our equipment to 1080p60. All of our blackmagic designs equipment worked great....except these. We needed them to down-convert the signal from the new cameras (PTZOptics ptz HD cameras) so we could still use legacy equipment when needed. None of them worked. After hours of troubleshooting, playing with the dip switches, etc, we came to the conclusion that others on the BMG support message boards have come to...they don't work with 1080p60. They work when I set my cameras to 1080i50, and 720p also works. Hopefully this saves someone else hours of troubleshooting.Also, site note, if you are in the US you most likely need those dip swtiches set to 1 ON, 5 ON, and the rest OFF. Took a while to find that out too.

Black-magic is the key thing fun to use and very reliable good great product. good audio nice size not too heavy.

I use the Blackmagic Design Mini Converter to take my HDSDI video with embedded audio into a DVD HDD recorder. This works great i have no problems. The converter is small and easy to pack along in any computer bag. I recommend this device to anyone making multi standard recording.

I always thought that Blackmagic products were over priced, but after purchasing cheaper products and then purchasing Blackmagic's, I see that you get what you pay for. Loving BlackMagic!!!!
