Good to have if you don't have a working temp gauge, and also good for double checking if you do.
Used this on a Kawasaki motorcycle that I wansn't sure if the temperature gauge was working properly on. It was a simple remove and replace installation, but this one was considerably harder to put on all the way. I believe the tolerance on the cap was a bit too snug, and I may correct that at a later date. As near as I can tell it is working okay, I haven't seen if it feeds the overflow into the reservoir tank, and I am going to check it next time I know it is hot enough that it should be, as I am a little bit concerned that the tight cap is not allowing the spring over the seal to move enough to allow the water to pass. As far as accuracy, it turns out that it reads more or less exactly the same as the temp gauge showed, so I am thinking they are both accurate, and it is a cool running engine. Gauge is of good quality materials, and seems to be well made, the tight fit is the only reason for deducting a Star, and it may be fine that way, so if I could only deduct a half Star I would. Overall a nice useful product that seems to be accurate.

Interesting device
Interesting device. I like being able to see the temperature of the cooling system without having to run and look inside at the gauge. I suggest checking it a few different times so you get a feel of what normal looks like for your car. I recommend never opening or even loosening a radiator cap on a hot car. This device could save you from getting burned.
