GAME CHANGER for the Pour Over Types!
This little glass cone and carafe set makes the most DELICIOUS coffee! So delicious that it doesn't even need any cream or sugar :-> The coffee beans true inherent flavors shine with the pour over process.I boil my auto shutoff kettle, warm the glass carafe with some boiling water for about a minute. Then I make a poured over brew with the unbleached filters they provide and it comes with a significant supply. I use 5 tablespoons of coffee and it makes two GENEROUS cups of the tastiest cup of Joe. My husband and I share this. The carafe provided is enough for about 26 ounces, our cups are 12 ounces each and there's a few tablespoons left. Whatever I don't use if it's just me becomes cold coffee for another day.Just don't lose that silver ball it comes with. The lever didn't work at first but we figured it out.

Space saver!
Makes a better cup of coffee than my old Keurig which I have recently thrown away, and takes up less space too. Plus I can make more than one cup now!

I take my coffee strong.
The Pour Over Coffee Maker has been added to my coffee corner and I like it. I can mke my coffe as strong or weak as I feel like at that moment. I like the size at 20 oz for our first 2 cups of morning coffee. Then if we have time, I can make another pot and again, enjoy fresh made coffee. We can tell the fine quality of the product made of borosilicate glass which is resistant to breakage. The design is simple but trendy. Minimalistic, maybe? The drip coffee brewer is easy to clean and maintain and it being borosilicate glass, I know it’s not going to be fragile. The pot is 11” at its widest and about 5” tall with the dripper also about 5”. Included are 360 disposable filters made of pure wood pulp so it can be composted. When you’re done steeping you brew take off the dripper and put on the glass lid.It has a stainless steel ball you activate with a plastic lever so you can control how long your coffee steeps. I can customize my coffee’s strength every day, using most any type of ground coffee. When I grind my own beans, I prefer a coarse grind. This is a decent pour over coffee maker. I don’t know that I prefer it over my automatic coffee maker, but I sure like having this option.

Loose the ball bearing and you have useless junk.
Liked this when I received it but that didn’t last. First off, you must use the filters supplied. I tried Malitta filters and they tore at the bottom. The big problem, loose the ball bearing which holds the water and this is junk! The bearing sits at the bottom and plugs the hole until you press the leaver to raise it and release the coffee. Without the plug, the water flows through so quick, coffee looks more like tea and is so weak. I typically would dump out the used filter and grounds into the trash and probably lost the ball bearing there.

almost identical to the Hario Switch
I have a Hario Switch 03 that is my primary dripper for pour over coffee. This looks almost identical to it (except this is an 02) and functions the same way.First, the negative. I found that the bottom of the glass on this is not level. I'm assuming that is not typical of all these units. This results in the glass resting at a slight angle in the silicone holder. I highly doubt this will impact the flavor of your brewed coffee. I just figured it is present and I should make note of it.Yes, you can take the glass out of this. Just twist slightly as your are pulling and it will come right out. Since this V60 dripper uses the same 60 degree angle for all three of their sizes, you can easily swap out this 02 glass with an 03 glass if you want a larger dripper. This will hold 8 ounces of water, after adding your ground coffee. It will do an immersion brew, but only for one cup. I like to close the valve at the beginning while the coffee is in the bloom phase. Once that is done, I open it up and use as a regular V60 pour over. There are a few ways others use this. One method is to do the first half of your water as a pour over, then close the valve and do the second half as an immersion. There can be a definite difference in the taste of your coffee between pour over and immersion, and this method wants to blend those 2. I would assume you could do the immersion first (similar to my method but keep the valve closed a little longer) and the open valve second. This valve option does give you basically 2 brewing methods in one dripper. In the past I have tried the brown filter paper and found that it would smell like cardboard when getting it wet, but it did not seem to affect the flavor of the coffee (this was for a Clever Dripper). I ended up going with just the white filters. I tried the one of the filters that came with this unit and there was just a tiny hint of the cardboard smell. As a result, I am fine with these brown filters. Also, any filter for a Hario 01 or 02 will fit this dripper just fine.I have a lot of different types of drippers, but find myself always going back to my Hario Switch. This works just as well. Including all the filters as well as the carafe makes this an excellent deal.
