No more nerves!
My wife is nervous about mice in the garage, I am nervous about getting my finger snapped in a mouse trap that goes off on me instead of my intended target. After years of buying finger death traps and tense moments trying to get the trap set and in place without losing a digit in the process, I made the decision to switch to this product. Setting it is a breeze! Baiting the trap is simple with a large window for filling the bait well that is ample size for whatever you want to use. Once you are able to get it baited and set in the place you want it, simply compress the back end and it smoothly sets the jaws open and ready. My first successful trap was easily visible as if the jaws are in the open position, no mouse. As soon as you notice the jaws are shut, you know what happened. The mouse was firmly captured and there was no sign of struggle. I have tracked bloody traps across the garage floor to find where the partially caught mouse had drug the trap to try to reach safety. This trap was effective and deadly. Cleaning was easy as well. Just compress the back edge and drop the dead mouse into the trash and within a minute, you are back in business. Or rather, you are back in your house moving on with life with all of your fingers intact! Two thumbs up! (literally)

Works like a champ.
We have eliminated the mouse problem in our garage with these simple and very effective traps. And it's quite easy to drop the dispatched mouse from the trap without touching the critter. Very effective. We find a dab of peanut butter is a good draw.Note: We have used "humane" traps, but a bit of research suggests that it's not humane to capture the mouse and then release it in unfamiliar territory, where it either starves or gets eaten. A quick death is actually more humane, unpleasant as it seems.

Need the right bait but Super-effective! just don't expect repeated use
Spoiler alert: Roasted and salted almonds from costcoTwo mice and nothing has worked. About to buy a bucket trap like we used on our family's ranch way back when but bought these on a recommendation, still no go. Classic peanut butter got nothing. Organic peanut butter, nothing. Nutella, soda crackers, cashews, pistachios: nope nope nothing. About to give up I saw I had a container of roasted almonds I had bought on a whim, never really cared for them before. Set the trap laid the bait and sure enough, not even half an hour later, SNAP. Reset, replaced, two days later, SNAP. They always did Tom dirty, but Jerry deserves it, I can not tell you how satisfying that was. It's been a month and NO MORE MICE.The only caveat is that these traps don't last. There are two plastic pins that hinge the latch in place and under very heavy load from the spring. One trap caught two mice and after being reset and left for a few days one of the plastic pins broke. I can only assume having mice stuck in the traps for several hours under uneven spring tension caused deformation that weakened the joint leading to eventual failure. I have another trap set up which did not catch any mice and it's been perfectly fine for a month. HOWEVER, I still gave this five stars, worked better than any trap I've used and even if it was single use, it's worth every penny.

Effective and Affordable
I recently had an issue with some mice around the house. I tried a couple other options first and wasn't having much luck. I used this Tomcat Press n' Set Mouse Trap and quickly got positive results.I'm a paraplegic and don't have great motor skills, however, I had no issues baiting and setting these spring-loaded traps. This is a 2-pack and both traps set easily and worked within 24-hours. They did kill the mice, so if you're looking for a more humane option this may not be a first choice. However, to actually eliminate the problem they definitely work.I ended up having to go an additional route because I had a bit of an infestation, however, I am still happy with these and would easily use them again for one-off situations when I notice a mouse. These are plastic, however, I find them to be very durable and effective. I also really like the grab tab to help with disposal once the mouse is caught.Overall, these are effective and affordable and I would definitely buy them again.

Great design
Clean and easy to use. Effective. I’d rather go with a bang than gets stuck until I die of starvation. These traps do that for the little ones. I hate to end their lives, but I have to protect my home from viruses and illnesses.

Waste of money - very breakable - several broken right out of box - no reusable (really)
I purchased about 8 boxes because I was scared to set the old fashioned wood/metal mousetrap. Never had to use a mouse trap, but they were getting in my car in the cold temps and I saw a video that the guy said to set a trap on the top of each tire. These traps could be my favorite safe way to set a trap and carry a dead mouse - yeck - except that they are not well made. They break in 2 ways, first if you press down to hard when you set it, the white plastic 'hook' breaks off, and if that's not bad enough, the 'bar' that is supposed to hold onto the hook has broken on several of mine - so off to the trash. Just to give you an idea, these come 2 per box and I purchased 8 boxes 3 weeks ago and have zero left. I had some broken right out of a new box. If I touch it wrong an it snaps closed, it has broken 80% of the time. Sometimes a mouse must be knocking off the tire or it snaps by itself and 100% of the time the short fall will break it. So disappointing! I'm trying the black mouse traps from Tomcat, but I have to have a flashlight to check them (black on black tire) and the one mouse I caught dragged the trap 10 feet, so not instant kill. They are smaller and don't have the nice hand hold loop to keep your hand away from a dead mouse. To be fair with the white traps, I killed 4 mice and it seemed like an instant kill which seems much more humane. Tomcat Team please please make these white mouse traps a better quality on the 'hook' and 'bar' and I'll be a happy customer!
