Bought this a year ago and tripod snapped what can i do

I would contact seller and ask for a replacement or refund as item 'not fit for purpose' even though you brought it a year ago as long as you have proof of purchase there should be some sort of reference code on your receipt, if you have deleted the receipt you would have to plead your case or buy a new one, hope this helps. What type of motor will fit the EQ Mount?

Thank you for your question. I have reached out to Bresser who manufacture this Telescope for National Geographic. They advised the following: We don't manufacture motors directly for the EQ2 mount, but I do here that the Skywatcher EQ drive here will fit and is the right ratio for the drivetrain of the mount.

How tall is the tripod?

The tripod stands around a metre tall at maximum extension.
