The pump works very well and it has been put to the test a few times since purchase. We use a lot of water camping in our trailer. We bring extra water tanks just to be comfortable with using water on our long camp outs in the woods. We have used this a handful of times and are very happy with it. We had a smaller pump for years and glad it gave out. When I bought this to replace the old one, we were so pleased at how much faster the water transfers went. Money well spent

This thing really moves the water it's way more than we needed but always better to be able to pump too much than not enough. It is a bit loud but for an industrial pump I think it's probably average as far as the operation noise goes. The Pump seems really well made and is a bit heavy so keep that in mind if you are going to be moving it around much. Like that it even comes with some hose clamps to help you connect to almost anything

Puts out less water than a 3gpm pump not worth the money shop else where

I got this to replace an old rotary pump that gave out after running dry. I pump distilled water from a drum connected to my basement HVAC system up to another drum in the garage for car washing. This pump works great, doing the job in a fraction of the time it took before. I wished it came with garden hose fittings, but among the nipple fittings provided, I was able to cut the ends off the hose and with a little heat and stretching, get it over the smaller ones and secure it with the provided hose clamps. The only downside is that the pump is quite loud, but as I'll be using it infrequently and only for a few minutes at a time, I can live with that.
