Will this work as a replacement for a f899l-dk fan? my remote only worked for a day or so and then stopped.

I can't specifically address the fan model you have. After the remote for my outside fan finally gave out after two (2) years of nearly daily use, I ordered this one. It quickly paired with my fan with no problem and operates all speeds and the light. Because it worked so well and due to the reasonable price, I purchased a second unit just to have on hand.
