SPELAB Electric Alloy Steel Exhaust Cutout Valve 3.0 Inch 76mm Catback Single Y Pipe with One Controller Remote Kit

The media could not be loaded. Sounds amazing on my 2018 bmw 540i. My bmw has a low profile 3 inch exhaust from factory so it’s in the shape of an oval and they were able to get it to fit. With it not being a low profile cutout the lowest point of my car was the round cap, it came off after going over a hump entering my driveway. I drove two months without it in the rain and snow. After having it scrap my driveway several times the round part where the cap goes flattened out after a while and the motor seized up. I was able to purchase a replacement motor on Amazon for $20, removing it was fairly easy and only took five minutes to replace. The one thing I have read about this cutout is that you want to be sure to add a high temp thread locker to the three bolts that screw into the motor because if you don’t all of the vibration will loosen them over time and the motor will fall off. What I love about spelabs exhaust cutout other than the sound, is the ability to synchronize the remote to my factory garage door opener on my rear view mirror. When pushing the button to open and close the exhaust you have to hold it a few seconds to fully open and close it. I don’t have a catalytic converter and placed it about a foot from where it would be so it is insanely loud and I love it

Was hoping it came with 2 keys cause i almsot lost one. Other than that i got this installed on my 2021 bmw 540i and i love it. Quiet/ loud whenever i want. Is there a way to get a 2nd key? Please and thank you

I had it on for 8 months and it worked fine and then randomly the motor in it died and my truck is stuck half way open and sounds horrible with a terrible rattle. Good product from when I had it till it randomly quit, wouldn’t buy it again.

So far so good i like a loud truck but long rides it gets annoying and this was just what i need. it plugs into you outlet in your car or truck. my port has constant power, and it has a light and after a few days of not driving i believe it killed my battery so I cut the end off and wired into my secondary fuse box, I also took the receiver box apart and water proofed it. Seemed like it was made real good and the pipe is thicker than stock exhaust piping, only time will tell how long the motor will last,I don't drive my truck in the rain mud or winter so it should be good. And if it only last a little while I seen you can buy just the motor for $30, will update if anything changes

Worked great for a couple months, now has some sort of malfunction. The remote is sending the signal, but the receiver isn’t clicking and telling the motor to open the valve. Currently stuck closed. I’d love to talk to tech support and replace this receiver. When it works, it’s a 5/5. Best part of my exhaust.

Had this on for over a year and a half now and it still works perfectly, had a shop weld it on for me and I’ve had no problems.I try and avoid big pools of water but still get it regularly washed at a car wash and I’m sure it gets wet, I also take the car to the desert up big dunes and still no problems. I’m surprised at how durable this thing is.

Edit so didn’t know it had diffrent positions on close and open i held down the open button and got rid of the rattling reccomend them 👍🏾Had it for literally not even a day I got it installed and wired up and at first it was working good but after like 30 min it started rattling when it was open
