Samsung Galaxy S4 Owner's Manual:: Your quick reference to all Galaxy S IV features, including photography, voicemail, Email, and a universe of free Android apps Paperback – May 24, 2013

my husband and I just recently got the Samsung Galaxy S4 phonesw. LIke most cell phones today they don:t come with a manual. I know we weren't using the full capabilities of our phones. The few things we knew we learned from others who had smart phones. The book is good and I am so happy that I am learning new things about my phone almost everyday

This is a pretty good manual. I was disappointed for two reasons. One is that I expected something like "Galaxy for dummies", because I'm still not able to access all the camera modes, for instance. The second reason is that I purchased my Galaxy from Verizon, and all Verizon aspects are rigorously excluded. AT&T and other suppliers are fully treated. I think that this strange one-sidedness should have been made clear. It has discouraged me from trying harder to make the manual work for me.

This phone DOES NOT come with a manual. You can download it on the computer BUT this manual is so much easier for me. I flaged the pages I knew I would have to go back to for help. I was so very glad to find it printed in book form. It was definitely a good buy for me!

I was hoping to get a good introduction to the phone; what I got was an introduction specific for at&t subscribers (and I use a different carrier).Navigation is an application of interest to most smartphone users, and I was hoping to learn more detail about the Google navigation app for Android; what I got was a cursory mention of navigation as just another add-on.Some of the information in the manual is useful, but alot of it is obscure and/or at&t specific. Yes, at&t is a major cellular carrier, but so are Verizon and Sprint, both of whom come from a different technology base.

I am of the generation that is not intuitive with electronics. I have gone to this information to help with simple things such as how to swipe the phone to answer a call. It is really full of clearly explained information on many topics.

This S4 "Guide" has NO index, just a table of contents. As others have noted, it's in black and white, with huge pages with little information. Not useful for trouble-shooting problems or really making use of the power of this smartphone. Bought 2 copies, one for my wife. Two useless books.

First of all, the author should have made it perfectly clear that this manual was intended largely for AT&T users. Going through the manual, you just have to ignore or delete the sections that are specific to AT&T. The other instructions are pretty much the same no matter which carrier you use. Fairly basic manual, nothing earth shattering. Pages 11-112 are instructional. Pages 113-168 are the authors recommended Android apps for the S4.

Very informative, got to me in a timely fashion and was packaged well. Not as indepth as I would have liked. But it gave good tips. Great addition to the new phone.
