absolutely brilliant!
This "curtain" installed in a matter of seconds. I have 3 dogs coming and going regularly through the doorway and flies were flooding my house. Popped this thing in and the dogs can pass through easily while keeping most of the flies out. It's not as perfect as a screen door, of course, but it's 90 percent effective. I'm going to figure out how to attach a few magnets around the mesh to help secure it a bit more for an even better seal but it's great like it is. It has to be screwed in tightly and mine did fall down once already ... I believe it's likely necessary to tighten it up occasionally but I'm Ok with that. Best part is that it is super easy to remove and store for winter.

Well worth it.
This is great. I have tried a few different ones and this one is by far the best I've used it is a more durable material and does not tear or rip as easily as some of the others I've tried. It was very easy to install with the provided Velcro tape. I would defiantly recommend this for anyone not wanting to have to spend $200+ on a more permanent option. We live in a rental so it works great for us.

Serves its purpose!
I bought this originally to use the tension rod installation, but the adhesive velcro installation worked better for my doorway. The screen was too wide (possibly my fault for not taking that into consideration when ordering) for my door, and is a fairly stiff screen. Trying to get it to slide back and forth on the tension rod to open/close was more cumbersome than I anticipated. I then opted to try the velcro version instead, and that worked great. The package includes a generous amount of adhesive velcro tape to use if you opt to. There is a wide strip (probably 2 inches, give or take) of velcro along the entire top portion of the screen. There are 2-3 inch-long segments of velcro along the left and right sides of the screen every 12 inches or so. This keeps the screen from blowing in the breeze. Overall, this screen serves its purpose for me! I have only had it a few weeks, so I cannot comment on how long-lasting it is, but it seems very durable to me at this time. As of right now, I would definitely purchase again. I do not have any photos to post at the time of me typing this review, but if I am able to edit my review to add some later, I will for reference!

Just what I needed!
This screen is perfect for my back door! When it's cool outside, opening the back door lets in a ton of air. It makes such a big difference in the temperature that I would leave it open even without a screen. When my kids started complaining about the occasional fly or mosquito that would wander in, I was stymied. The door opens outward, so there is no way to install an actual screen door. A pocket screen door would be great, but is out of my budget. Mounting/attaching the typical makeshift screen would have left unsightly velcro or adhesives on the inside of my door frame in plain view of the living room/kitchen, and would have been difficult to take down when not in use. I was thrilled to find this one that can hang from a tension rod. I can easily put it up when needed and just as easily take it down when I'm done. It fits my doorway perfectly, and my dogs run through it with no problem. There are a few gaps around the edges, especially after the dogs run through and disturb the way it hangs, but that would be easily fixed by the included velcro. I, personally, have chosen not to use the velcro because it would be too visible. I figure the screen is good enough to thwart most bugs as is; we haven't noticed any get through while using it. Mine didn't have any unpleasant odor, and the slight creases haven't caused any problems. I highly recommend this product to anyone with a problematic outward-opening door!

Not as heavy duty as I needed
At first glance great looking product. However going in and out of our front door so frequently made the product tension bar break within 3 months and I’ve had to throw it away. Great idea but if you’re going to frequently use maybe get something more heavy duty.

not used as intended, but it works
My friend has a similar screen, with magnets and a split in the center. When I visit, my dogs enjoy the freedom it provides for them to go in or out at their choosing. When I recently moved into my house, I really wanted a similar screen. However, I had a storm door as well as an interior door that was going to make it impossible to install the type he has. This screen, however - with the hanging from a rod installation - seemed like it would work...maybe not as well as those that have only one door and it gets affixed to the outside frame, but at least it would afford some level of insect control but still allowing the doors to remain open during the day for easy access for the dogs. Definitely it has its challenges, and I much prefer the magnet type - but I still think it is worth 5 stars, especially if it was installed as it was intended and not the way I had to improvise. My installation has many gaps, can fall off after a week or so of use (but easily put back up with the extending rod) - because once the dogs saw easy access, they are in and out constantly (which is what I was hoping they would take advantage of) and is a little bit more of a hassle for human use. But I still think it is a quality product, well made and it looks almost invisible. Someday I may change the doors just so I can get a screen that fits as intended. :-)
