No. It had to be purchased separately. Both the bar and chain do not come with this

Q: I see plenty a farmer tech chainsaw heads only where do I buy the chain and bar?

They are clones of name brand saws (Stihl, etc...) You look for a bar and chain that fits the equivalent name brand saw.

Q: Does the saw come ready to go once the bar and chain are on? (No tuning)

Mine did! I put on the bar and chain and started cutting. After it broke in I had to adjust the idol but it still runs great!

hello customer, it can be used, but we do not suggest you to use 28 inch bar in the G388, usually we suggest you to use 18/20/24 inch bar. 28 inch bar are usually used in G660.
