This thing was just what we needed. We ordered it June 18th and we received it early June 20th (we have Prime). Getting it set up was very simple. You can send an email to the included address or you can visit MightyWiFi.net to activate. We had some trouble using the website to activate it due to our poor internet connection, but we called the number included with the hotspot and someone answered immediately to get it activated. After activation and test connections the wifi worked great! It is a bit slow but this is only because of where we live. In our area, the two main providers are At&t and Verizon. Our cell phones use Verizon towers and our mobile internet is very slow. The good thing about MightyWifi is that you are able to refresh the connection regardless of where you are and it will find the most reliable connection to you. For us, it was a connection to At&t. After we established a connection we tried YouTube and it loaded and played just fine! This would usually take us a very long time before MightyWifi. It did come with 50 gigs of high speed preloaded data and we were told in advance that once that limit is reached it does slow down the connection but is still unlimited. There is unlimited internet, not unlimited high speed internet, but you can use the Mighty WiFi Cloud app to reload high speed data at any time. The app is also where you purchase your data and data plans. Also note that unused high speed data does not rollover. Overall, we are very satisfied with our experience with MightyWifi and the Tech Support/ Customer Service.

DO NOT BUY. FALSE ADVERTISING. This device does not work as advertised. It does not automatically find the best, strongest carrier signal. Have had this device about 5 weeeks. Worked OK at first and then just stopped. I had to call customer service and he said he would switched me to another carrier. I repeatedly asked the rep why it did not switch and find the strongest and I got no answer. Then I asked if I have to call each time and they manually have to push it to the strongest carrier and he said YES. Who has the time to call customer service each and every time to switch carriers. I was even in the same area when it stopped working. Complete garbage. Worked great during the 30 day trial period then went south. VERY FRUSTRATING.

We travel in our RV for two months in the summer and various shorter trips, campground WiFi is always less than ideal, so I used the hot spot feature on my phone but that meant that with a phone company data plan I always had too much data most of the time and not enough when traveling. Now I can buy as much or as little data as I need. I have only had it for a few days, setting it up was not too hard, it works well in the couple of places I have tried it, and I look forward to having internet access on trips. My new phone plan came with no hotspot data and that was what drove me to try this, it costs less than adding hotspot data to my plan. UPDATE, We went on a four day trip in the camper and the hotspot performed perfectly! We were able to surf the web on two devices at the same time and I was able to stream youtube Vidos. Very Happy.

Bought this little Mighty WiFi device for our stateside vacation this year and had it delivered to a family member’s residence for me to pick up once I arrived. The Mighty WiFi device and the corresponding app do what they are suppose to do and are very easy to use also. The problems we experienced with the device, was it not finding and picking up a cell network in remote areas of E. Texas while we were there, and the battery life is also somewhat disappointing as well. We had to charge it at least once a day and sometimes twice a day, depending on how easy it found a network and how much it was being used. However, in well populated areas, this little guy found cell networks really fast and was also very reliable too. So all in all, a good device that can be used without any problems at all, as long as there are ways of keeping the battery charged and as long as it finds cell networks without problems too!!!My largest complaint is concerning the seller of this device: The Phone House !!! Our device was sold with the promotional 50GB of USA Data and the additional 3GB of Worldwide Data too. I had this device delivered to a family member located stateside and ahead of our Tavel to the states as well. Once I arrived, about 3 weeks after the device had been delivered, I found out that the seller, The Phone House, had undoubtedly activated the data package automatically and I found myself at the end of the monthly usage allowance for that month!!! Meaning......the 50GB Promotion Data Package was completely used up and as good as gone!!!! After numerous emails back & forth with The Phone House, they also admitted that the 3GB World Data package was also a part of that month‘s allocated data package as well, therefore, I had to purchase an additional data package for our vacation time stateside!!! This could have been avoided, had it stated somewhere in the sales pitch that The Phone House would automatically be activating the device promotion data once delivered and without cause or reason!!! If this had been the case, then I would have waited an extra 2-3 weeks to make my purchase!! It made me feel as though The Phone House just went over my head and activated my data package without informing me at all!! Nowhere in this product description, did it say that the promotional 50GB USA Data and the 3GB World Data would automatically be activated for use upon purchase. The do not give you a choice of when and where you want to use that promotional data!! They use it all up for you instead!!!So beware of the seller The Phone House when purchasing the Mighty WiFi device with this listed promotion package!!! Some sellers seem to just do whatever it is they want to do in order to pull even more money out of the customer‘s pocket!!!
