SwaddleDesigns Cotton Muslin Swaddle Blankets, Set of 4, Receiving Blankets for Baby Boys & Girls, Best Shower Gift, 46x46 inches, Gold & Graphite

We have quite the collection of the more famous (and expensive) brand muslin swaddles left over from my second child. When I had my third child, we knew we wanted to swaddle again, but my son still uses the other swaddles as blankies for bedtime. I didn't want to traumatize him by taking all his blankies away to use for the new baby, but I also didn't want to shell out a ton of money for all-new swaddles when we already had a big collection, so I decided to take my chances on the lower-priced but well-reviewed SwaddleDesigns.What do you know? These are just as fine as the "other" brand of swaddles. They fluff up nice in the washer and dryer, and--most importantly for us since I tend to have kids that plump up quickly in the first 6 months--they're just as big as the other ones, roughly 46 or 47" square, depending on how they shrink when washed. Smaller swaddles at the same price point as these just don't last us as long for swaddling purposes. It's only been a little over 2 months, but with daily use they've held up well--no holes, tears, or anything.One thing I somewhat dislike about them is that the printed designs are much lighter and subtle than others on the market. The designs are cute but not overpowering. If you want big, brightly printed swaddles, you'll be disappointed. However, I did buy these for function, not design, so I won't deduct a star for that--plus I have nothing against the designs themselves and will probably end up buying another set soon. I think I'll be recommending and buying these as gifts for new moms over other brands for now on.

Material is really soft and of good quality.

I received one of these blankets in Amazon's baby welcome box (the super cute hedgehog pattern) and loved it so much I bought this 4 pack. They are large, soft, stretchy, and swaddle really well. Sometimes they are a little too big for my newborn and it seems like there's 20 layers of blankets around her, but that's when I'll grab a clean one and swaddle her again and it solves the problem. These are a great material for making sure baby doesn't overheat. I prefer these blankets over the easy swaddle velcro types as I've had bad experiences with those creeping up over baby's mouth. These are perfect once you get the swaddle fold down, and there are nice instructions right on the blankets to help with that. The instructions tags are soft and in a spot where it's easy to keep them from bugging baby. Love these!

I bought these when my dayghter was about a month old . She hated the swaddles that had velcro so I decided to give these a try. It proved a great purchase, although my baby never liked to be swaddled anyway the muslin blankets are lightweight and easy to pack on her diaper bag. Perfect for a additional layer when we go for a stroll in the morning. I am a clean freak and these get washed often and still look brand new. And to top it off the colors and prints are super cute and perfect for my little girl.

The fabric is so soft. The size is generous. Perfect.

Got the white zebra newborn muslin blanket with the Amazon registry box and my little guy seemed to prefer it over the other blankets we have since he is hat natured and these are breathable. Now he has 4 new blankets to enjoy that are big enough for him to use as he grows. One of the reviews mentioned this were rough and looked like cheap tablecloths, which they kind of do when you first take them out of the package. But after washing them, they have more the crinkled muslin look and become softer. These are our go to swaddles for day time naps.

My daughter still loves these even at 1 year. We loved wrapping her in them as a newborn, because the blankets are so large & soft. Now that she is over a year old, we still use them to cover shopping cart handles, to cover her stroller on chilly or windy days, and she just loves snuggling with them while playing or during nap time. They get washed very often and have not lost their softness. These blankets are very durable and long lasting! We would absolutely buy them again if we have another baby in the future!

When I was pregnant with my son I searched and searched for a NE Husker muslin blanket and came up empty. Being the crafty momma I am I decided to make my own. I searched for plain white muslin blankets and came across these. At first I wasn’t sure about the square ‘design’ on them but now I don’t even notice it. My son loves to cuddle up in this blanket. Since he was born I have become an Aunt Coco. My sister in law is a huge NE fan and graduated from WYO. naturally the crafter in me decided the cousins needed matching NE blankets AND my niece needed a WYO blanket. I had to dye the WYO blanket and it turned out the perfect color. They were the perfect hand made addition to her baby shower gifts. These blankets are great as just plain white and perfect for a little crafting also. I only gave it 4 stars because the expensive brands are slightly softer BUT you still can’t go wrong with these.
