Panasonic RF-D100BTEGT Digital Radio in Retro Design (Stereo Sound, DAB+, FM Tuner, Mains and Battery Operated, Bluetooth, AUX) Brown/Silver

Classic FM’s move to DAB+ meant that I needed a new radio to replace my trusty Roberts RD-21 which has been doing a sterling job for many years.This radio has a beautiful clear stereo audio output with separate bass and treble controls. It also can run off batteries when I use it in the bathroom which has no power points.So I searched for a suitable replacement – a portable stereo DAB+ radio with a quality sound output for classical music listening.How hard could that be? Quite hard as it turns out!!Most DAB+ radios today seem to focus more on looks while sound quality, stereo output, tone controls and sensible battery life take a back seat.After much searching I decided to take a chance and order the Panasonic RF-D100BTEGT Digital Radio which was offered by Amazon EU site and not Amazon UK.This took a few days longer to arrive but was worth the wait!This unit provided the features I needed - good stereo sound, portable use and sensible battery life.I would have preferred simple bass and treble controls but this radio has various preset equaliser profiles instead. The ‘Clear’ setting was best for classical music.A winner at last.Some caveats – the unit as supplied has an external euro power adapter and needs a UK/euro adapter to plug in to UK power sockets.The radio becomes reluctant to power on when the batteries are getting low – repeated presses of the on/off switch are required.

This panasonic dab+ radio with Bluetooth has a great sound and easy to use. Bluetooth sound quality is the same as the radio. I have great reception. l have no problems at all tuning into my favourite radio stations. For what it is. Size and all. This is a great dab+ radio that sits in my kitchen.Just one problem, the mains adapter it come with is a euro plug and will need a euro to uk plug adapter to make in work. It does show a uk main plug in the manual. But this must be the panasonics European model. That's why 4 stars.

This is a quality product. Radio looks good, sound is great, easy to use.

could not use it out of box, as it comes with continental mains lead. did not expect that.

Returned for refund, unit would operate for a few minutes then switch off. This is the second unit tried of this model, the first the right hand speaker didn't work.Styling is good, and if it worked would I am sure be a good unit, but it doesn't work, which is unusual for a Panasonic piece of kit.Gave up and bought an Azatom instead!

I purchased this for a bedside radio with push button selection for stations and because it was a Panasonic. Unfortunately, the buttons are very small and it is difficult to change channels. The sound quality is also very poor and unlike any of my other Panasonic products. The volume also varies for no reason. I am returning this to the seller.I cannot recommend this radio.
