Ximimark 3Pcs 12V 10A Light Sensor Switch Auto On Off Dusk Sensor Night Light Sensor Twilight Switch

I used this device to turn on my electric fence at dusk and back off at dawn. It works exactly as I had hoped. My electric fence is powered by a 12Ah lead acid battery, connected to a 50watt solar panel with a voltage limiting regulator. It is a fully self maintaining system now. We have hears of wild boar, coyotes and other animals roaming around at night. They never come out during the day so the fence is not needed during daylight hours. Having the fence turn off automatically at dawn allows the solar panel to fully charge the battery every day. Works really well for me. This device seems to be worth the cost.

Many chinese electronics switch the ground lead, this one does not. White and black may not have the function you associate with those wire colors, look on the top for a label in english. I've had these in AZ and MT for several years and no malfunctions. Mount them so they can NOT see the light you're switching or you'll get flashing/oscillation. I put an RF remote LED controller after this sensor so I can have a bright or dim porch light.

Wiring diagram would have been nice. Had to do a bit of searching to find the correct wiring.

I think this is a super great product easy to use easy to install and it's got a nice bracket on it to support it with it could come with a box or something like that to put the wires in but for the most part I think it's a great deal It seems to work excellent I haven't hooked up to 12 volt lights on my battery system for solar energy and I don't have a problem with it

Ordered this package of 3, but needed only 1. As suggested by other commenters, I sealed the joint between cap & base with caulk before installation.The one I installed has been working fine for several weeks now. It controls lighting on a yard sign. It switches on at dusk and off at dawn, and has weathered a couple of rain storms. It's doing all I want it to do.

Inexpensive 12v photoelectric switches are hard to find. I was delighted to find these. But, 2 of the 3 I received failed within a few hours of use. I think other reviewers had this same problem. I never tried the third one.My advice is to pay a little more for a single --reliable-- photocell switch. I found one, but it wasn't on Amazon unfortunately.

These are easy to use on your 12 volt application. You can apply some silicone and make it waterproof.
