Could be better
After a very few weeks use the micro usb socket is difficult to plug in to. The socket is too close up against the keyboard body., so no other cable can be used. The cable supplied is poor quality, I would like to use a micro usb - usb 3.1 c cable, but the body of the micro usb plug on most cables are more substantial than ghat on the cable provided and will not fit.Poor design. The keyboard appears robust. It has not failed yet. The key touch is not manual piano like - but I was not expecting that - but it is god enough to use for note input with Dorico / Sibelius / MuseScore etc. The octave shift buttons work well. I've not used the keyboard with a DAW (Cubase / Logic Pro etc) so cannot comment on the modulation and pitch bend buttons. As a keyboard that can pack in a bag to take anywhere so you can capture ideas whenever the creative juices flow - its ideal ( ideal for me).

It does NOT come with the MIDI Xcable
It is a very good quality product, although it came without the Xcable which is quite necessary to plug pedal or other MIDI... Otherwise, it would be 5 stars

Very disappointed
For the price I was expecting this keyboard to have a really nice feel. There is little to no travel in the keys at all. Yes the keys are velocity sensitive and have aftertouch. The nearest thing I can compare the feel of the keys to is a cheap QWERTY keyboard. Even after downloading the app and fiddling with the settings I could not get the thing to feel like a decent keyboard. I returned dit for a refund. Very disappointed.

Dead keys after 9 weeks of light use. AVOID. :-(
Not impressed. Whilst it's lightweight, and nicely finished, I started having trouble with the keys on the XKey after just a few weeks, with just one short session of use each week. By week 9 after delivery, eight of the keys are completely dead, regardless of what MIDI equipment I plug it into. Underwhelmed, and even more annoyed because this appears to be a quality issue, with other owners reporting dead keys after short usage periods. Compare that to my old Korg M1 (1991) or DX21 (mid 1980's) - both of which still have fully functioning keybeds 30+ years later. Come on CME, you MAKE this gear, GET YOUR QUALITY CONTROL SORTED OUT. Not recommended.

Well made, but
At less than a kg, very light for a MIDI keyboard with 3 octaves of full-sized keys, and feels well made, so good for travel and such. But the keys feel (and rattle) like laptop keyboard spacebars a few years ago (a bit more key travel than today's), so not close to synth-like keys. They are touch-sensitive, but they produce max output at a relatively light strike. The black keys are very slightly elevated, so tactile finger orientation isn't good.If min size & weight isn't the major concern, one can get more normal synth keys for less money with for instance a four-octave M-Audio Keystation 49, 2.1 kg (mind weight tends to rise disproportionally with key count: 61 4-5kg, 88 7kg).

Irgendwie cool
