Genuine High performance
I've owned the EBH-50s and was impressed in the sound, but not so much in the build quality. I tried other earbuds and found their sound quality inferior to the Yamaha's. The M series is twice better sound quality, and the build quality appears to be much better as well. The full spectrum of sound is very clear without one range overpowering the other. I use them on an old Samsung III phone. So, I can only imagine they would sound good on the newer gen phones. The earbuds fit snug in the ear. I had a little bit of soreness initially, but no problems now. The snug fit eliminates most outside noise, and creates a superb sound. I play mostly Indie and Rock music. It is well worth the money.

Okay sound, aesthetically pleasing, flimsy cord, not worth the price
I've had these for a little over a month, and I'm generally disappointed. I had a pair of Yamaha eph-50s in the past that I loved so when I needed some new earbuds I thought I'd try these. Overall I'm disappointed in them. They have decent sound quality, but not much better than a $10 pair you could get anywhere. I love the design of the buds themselves and the in-line control, they're both very good looking. My biggest issue is that the cord itself is INSANELY FLIMSY. I feel like I'm going to break it just pushing it aside. The Jack also seems pretty shoddy too.Overall an okay pair of headphones not worth close to the price tag.

Huge Bass....!!!
i dont agree with the reviewers saying that is has subtle/gentle base. the base is high level...! its good, but a little bit dominating the sound production.i listen to it using iPhone. the only equalizer i set is "Reduce bass" and the result is awesome...!i am going back and forth to say that the build is cheap. it feel really placticy but it makes it really light. so i guess i don't have a problem with that.i purchased this at $60 which i think how it really worth.

Not durable at all.
Great sound and very crisp, great noise cancellation, not the best for heavy bass though. They are much more emphasized with higher notes and I had to up the lows on my equalizer to even it out. Overall beautiful sound quality and I enjoyed using these. Unfortunately, the cord is not durable at all and I feared from the moment I first opened up these earbuds that the thin flimsy cord wouldn't last. Today after two months of everyday use they have stopped working in one ear. Severely disappointed as it's the most I've personally chosen to spend on earbuds and it was kind of a luxury item for me (low income household)

Just what I was looking for
When I first put them on I was a little disappointed because they didn't sound much better than the standard earbuds that came with my phone. So I started to play with the different size earpieces. Naturally I went for the smallest ones first because they seem like they would be more comfortable. They sounded about the same. So I shoved them as far in as my ear would allow and suddenly they sounded great. I could almost feel the bass. But it was also uncomfortable. Figuring that there was no way these were meant to be shoved against my eardrums to sounds good I went to the exact opposite and put the largest ones on. Assuming this would be uncomfortable I was skeptical but with the largest ones I didn't have to shove them in even half as far to make a good seal. And they sound great. Plenty of bass. Crisp highs and mids. It's all about the fitment.

Great Earphones
This are really great earphones. You hear all the music. They fit well in your ear so you hear all the bass, midrange, and treble. Replace those free earphones you get, or replace those cheap $20 earphones for these. You'll be glad you did. These are quality earphones!

Sounded great
Was great when it worked. Under VERY light usage and stored inside the included case. One of the sound channels stopped working.

Excellent earphones - totally worth it!
Great bass, great sound clarity. These headphones are great but the way to accentuate the effect is to play around with the equalizer settings on your phone. This is one of those rare ear phones which actually magnifies the equalizer effect. I love my Bose over the ear headphones but Yamaha earphones are simply far superior. Is it worth the $60 - absolutely yes!
