The Unutterable Brahma and Names and Forms
Swami Gambhirananda's translation of Brahma Sutra Bhashya of Sankaracharya is truly a masterpiece! My own interest in was generated because when you think of the concept of Trinity especially of the Christian religion, it tells you about Holy Ghost/Spirit as something like nexus or Word. This led me to the idea of Brahma and his consort Saraswati the latter symbolising all arts the source of which lies in Brahma himself. So I wanted to see how Brahma Sutra deals with these extremely complex issues. Swami Gambhirananda takes you beyond what you can possibly contemplate in these matters. It is at least true in my case!

One of the three must read books for every Indian
This is one of the three must read books for every Indian. The other two being The Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads. The book is excellent and exhaustive (~1000 pages). It contains Sanskrit verses followed by word by word meanings and translation in English. This is followed by objection/opposition viewpoint from a different philosophy. The explanation/clarification follows for the objection posed. The explanation is based on the works of Adi Shankaracharya-the greatest Hindu philosopher of our time and the translation is based on the works of Ratnaprabha. For Hindi readers, same book by the name 'Vedant Darshan' is available from Gita Press .

The Book that none should miss to read in their life time
I am a first time reader and a learner. So cannot give any review, except to say that I am reading one of the books that is difficult to comprehend. But the Bhashya by the Jagad Guru and more especially the english translation should I think educate me.The Book that none should miss to read during life time - if early it is better, but difficult to understand even through a known language.

Read it after reading Bhagwad Gita
Once you have read the Bhagwad Gita and then want to delve deeper into the philosophy included in it, this book becomes a must-read. This is based on the Advaita philosophy of Adi-Shankaracharya. For other schools of thought, you will have to look into other books.
