i have a 2008 ford edge and this part blew out. went with this being way cheaper than oem or any knockout in store replacement. works great, fits perfect and no issues in over a month. so cheap you can buy an extra for backup, but seems to be quality built. the casing feels the same as oem, its got the heatsink, and the plugs fig perfect with the oem harness on both sides

I noticed my coolant fan was not coming on when A/C was turned on as it should. I was a little apprehensive to buy this at such a reasonable price.But after checking everything else suspected module. Pain to get to, but replaced it and it fixed my issue. Fan is working great now. Time will tell how long it will last, but so far so good. At under $25 I could afford to buy a spare. I did spray some silicone spray on the fan as it seemed squeaky, figure maybe those having issues with module relay may have some fan issues too? But the GXP is running cooler now!

This is an cheap unit so I am not expecting it to last forever, but compared to $250 from ford, I wanted to give it a try. I was a ford mechanic in the past and very much value their electronics over aftermarket, but basically this was a test device that was cheap to ensure I didn't have an ETAC or PCM problem. Tested power and ground on input side, was good. Could not get test light to work on smaller control pin... ran power and ground to fan with a quick bump and fan was working. This unit is the weak link but before dropping 250 the 25 seemed reasonable. Will have to see how long it lasts, 10 minute install.Update: still going strong, not an endorsement on longevity, but if a good one, good to test. Aftermarket has improved a lot on sensors, almost everyone bought did fine. Once again, realize it's probably not anywhere near OEM. Always recommend/use OEM for sensors, alternators, starters. Without the dealer diag machines, got to do some quick changes. Scanner is only 15$ now, got a tool kit for each car. Good luck

My Electric fan stopped working on my 2006 Lincoln Town-car and caused an overheat. This relay fixed it. I know many people are saying to replace the whole electric fan assembly , but this was much easier for me and the part was less than 25 to buy and was plug and play. Time will tell on Longevity, if it fails I will adjust the review on here....

This article its not working fine , the fan goes high speed and then goes down, it’s not supposed to work that way , has to be stable when you use your AC , I’ve tried many things until i found the right guy to advice me to replace this clutch that I bought , now it’s working properly but not with this piece, pretty bad

Solved my fan issue, the motor would not run after having to replace and bad battery, swapped it in about 10 minutes, just one Phillips screw. I used a short and stubby driver.Seems to be common problem as they age on these vehicles.I have a theory. It MIGHT be draining your battery since this is coupled directly to DC power with or without the ignition on. This is basically a solid state relay with variable speed. So if one of the MOSFETS inside is leaking, it could possibly leak a small amount of current and slowly drain your battery, and if your battery is leak or getting old, it could drain it much faster.

I had a problem with this running A/C at idle, while this mostly worked for general driving conditions, on my 07 Ford Crown Victoria it did not run the fan at full speed during A/C operation especially at idle or traffic conditions. I bought an OEM module and it worked in all conditions perfectly. Unfortunately you will be paying $150-$200 or less on eBay for the OEM version. Sometimes OEM the only way to go, but I will keep as an emergency spare.
