This new mattress is very comfortable. It's a little harder to fold into my sofa, but I am able to do it myself.It was easy to set up and the thickness is great, no more feeling the bar. The size is a little narrower than my previous spring mattress, but it's not a problem.

Makes my old sofa bed feel as comfortable as a regular bed. My son gave this to me as a birthday gift to use in my small pied-à-terre NYC studio apartment. (He probably had an ulterior motive since he and his girlfriend occasionally use the apartment when they come in from out-of-town and mentioned that the old mattress was uncomfortable!) It was delivered free by FedEx within in 9 days coming from California. Since it was vacuum packed, the box was only about 4 feet tall and 1 foot wide (which another reviewer pointed out before I purchased it). My old mattress was 72" x 59". This one is slightly longer than advertised at about 72.5" (which was no problem in fitting my frame since the foam compresses a bit making for a perfect fit) but only 58" wide. However, this 1" difference is not a problem. The small space on the width of the frame is hardly noticeable. Furthermore it's no problem at all when sitting on the side of the mattress, say to get up or put on your shoes, since the foam is nice and firm. One of my concerns was that since my old mattress was only 4" thick and this one is 4.5", I might have a problem closing the bed. To my surprise it closed fine. The best feature is that you don't feel the support bars of the frame AT ALL! A great added feature is that it comes with a no-skid, washable zippered mattress cover for extra protection and comfort. All in all, this was a great buy. We'll see how well it holds up in the long run.

Measure your frame! We have a queen size and this mattress is too small -- I didn't measure my frame beforehand and trusted the "queen size" so I'm not deducting from the rating because that was my fault. This is just a word of caution to everyone else. Expensive mistake.That being said, it is significantly more comfortable than the mattress that came with the bed. I can feel where the bar is, but it is very minimal and so much better than before. I think this is a great purchase and it was worth the money. It is a tight squeeze to fold back up, but it does fold back up.

10 times better than the mattress that came in the queen sofa. No springs in the back and fits perfect when you close it up. Has a nice zip cover on it also. I could have bought one of the other brands cheaper but glad I didn’t. Worth the extra cost.

We've suffered with the old spring mattress on our couch that's probably 15 years old, so when I saw this replacement mattress on Amazon for 1/2 the cost of other online sites, I was pretty happy. It took me so long to even think to search for these things, but here I am.I just received it and set it up today. I bought the Full, so the measurements were supposed to be 73" x 52" x 4.5". As for length/width, it was fine and measures about 72.5" x 52.5"... slightly wider and slightly less tall than it's supposed to be, but that little bit of difference doesn't matter.As for the height, this has an identity problem. Some places it says it's supposed to be 3.5", but on the Amazon listing it says 4.5". Mine measures right around 4" tall, and that's right out of the box. It says you need to leave it set up to breathe for about 24-48 hours, but I don't think it's going to grow another 1/2". It is absolutely fine the way it is though. Granted, I'm not a big guy but I laid down on it and couldn't feel anything - best of all no springs!!Note, if you're expecting it to look like it does set up in the picture, that's not going to happen. To me it looks like the mattress in that photo is 6" or more - not 4.5" like it states. I don't even know how you would fold it if it was that big.Overall, this is a great replacement mattress, especially for the price. it is more comfortable than the old one and also pics up the cushions when folded so the couch doesn't sag as much. Would definitely buy this again.

I spent a ton of money for a comfortable sleeper loveseat, elsewhere, only for the box spring mattress to be AWFUL. After 2 months I knew i needed something better in way of a replacement mattress. This was ranked #2, & costed less. The difference is like night & day. I can already feel relief in my aching joints. The box was beat up, (fo better), but the mattress was tightly shrink wrapped, & was 1/2 in thinner than the box spring, but because of the memory foam, made putting the bed back in easier, & the sofa firmer & smoother to sit on. It came with a cutter. Oh my stars! I feel better already!

I arrived home after a busy day and my new hide a bed mattress had arrived at my doorstep. I opened the box immediately to remove the mattress and used the handy cutter that came with it to slice open the bag without harming the mattress. I didn’t remove it from the plastic bag because the mattress is for the hide a bed at my camp but I wanted to see how comfortable it was before lugging it 80 miles up there. I noticed that it inflated to size moments after slicing open the plastic bag, it measured over 4” when I checked. I decided to put a blanket over the plastic and then laid down to test its comfort, two hours later I woke up; I didn’t mean to fall asleep! It definitely passed the comfort test on my living room floor so hopefully it will be as wonderful on my hide a bed. You get a full size hide a bed memory foam mattress in the box with a removable, washable cover that zips, and a safety cutting blade.
