Rock solid NAS drives and much faster than the 5,600 rpm drives being replaced
I needed you increase the capacity on my home NAS unit. I had Iron Wolf drives for the past three years with absolutely no performance or availability issues. The Iron Wolf Pro drives increase the MTBF to 1.5 hours while increasing spindle rpm to 7,200. Very easy swap out. So far I can see some increased throughput on the NAS. I expect the same reliability as I had on my old drives.

The media could not be loaded. No pierdan ni el tiempo ni el dinero, si pudiese darle 0 estrellas lo haría. Ni siquiera son capaces de empacar los discos en bolsas antiestáticas nuevas o por lo menos en buen estado. Bastante chambón el trabajo con estos discos...

I use this drive in the RAID configuration and it works perfectly. duarbale. Amazing warranty back up if needed, smooth, and not much noise. For full-time use abd ven networking connections for others to access.

Works as advertised
They sent the correct model number, after getting burned in the past I always verify the model number on the drive to what is on the site that I bought it from. Its easy for a warehouse worker to grab the wrong item when SeaGate has like 6 different active SKU's for IronWolf 8 TB 3.5 inch SATA drives.This is my 4th Iron Wolf in a Raid 5 it took roughly 28-30 hours for it to fully sync with my RAID Array and that was while the NAS was under regular use and 75% full at the time in which I installed the drive. I did mix this with some other Iron Wolf's non PRO's so I can confirm the models do not need to be identical in order to join a RAID 5 array.

The Must be About as Good as You Can Get
I'm not sure how to measure something like this in a 6 month period but I can say they are fast and quiet and the test reviews I've seen convinced me to go with them.I really only needed about 4Gb in each bay of my 4-bay Synology NAS... so I bought 8Gb drives!Now I don't even think about it.So far.... they're perfect!

Non-Standard Mounting Holes
I had an issues installing these into my system, as the tool free drive cages in most cases have prongs that lock into standard mounting holes, but these drives are missing one of the standard mounting holes. I was going to return them, but I was able to remove the locking arm from my drive sleds and they fit snuggly in the sled without needing to lock in.Drives themselves have been great.
